After dropping two of three to their crosstown rivals, the Cubs return back to Wrigley Field as they host NL Central rival Milwaukee.

Ian Happ went just 5-31, but his lone extra base hit a home run during their 9-game road trip and we think he has another shot at a home run tonight.

We’ll take him to hit his home run prop hitting .271 and slugging .600 at home this season compared to just a .183 average and .305 slugging percentage on the road.

The Brewers will send Brandon Sproat to the mound who has already allowed eight home runs this season in just 36 innings pitched.

Happ is a switch hitter who will be hitting from the left side against Sproat and he has seven of his 10 home runs against righties with the Milwaukee starter allowing a .517 slugging percentage to left-handed hitting on the season. 

Happ has hit 20+ home runs in each of the last three seasons and is well on his way there for a fourth straight so let’s take him to hit a home run tonight at +320 odds.

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Shohei Ohtani (LAD) +310

Some may say Shohei Ohtani’s hitting stats are just average so far, but we’ll look for him to hit his home run prop tonight on the road as the Dodgers take on Michael King and the Padres at Petco Park.

Although Ohtani only has one home run this month he is coming off a series at the Angels in which he went 6-13 including two doubles, a triple and five RBIs in total.

The Dodgers DH has also had a ton of success against King going 7-17 with three home runs all time and if we can get better than +300 odds for a leadoff hitter who hit 54 home tuns in 2024 and 55 home runs in 2025 and is this talented we’ll take it.

The Dodgers and Padres are separated by just 0.5 games atop the NL West standings so let’s take Ohtani to build on his success from last series and hit his home run prop at +310 as he looks to get to double digit home runs for the season before the end of the month.
