LIV Golf Virginia Course: Trump National Golf Club
LIV Golf heads to the capital area for LIV Virginia at Trump National Golf Club, a visually striking and demanding layout set along the Potomac River.
This course blends rolling elevation, water hazards, and wide landing areas that tempt players to be aggressive off the tee, but positioning is key to setting up the right angles into the greens.
The layout plays as a par-72 stretching over 7,400 yards, giving longer hitters opportunities to attack, especially on the par-5s. However, the course is far from a simple bomber’s paradise.
Water is in play on multiple holes, and the green complexes are well-protected with bunkers and subtle contours that demand precise approach shots.
Misses in the wrong spots can quickly turn into bogeys. With the course offering a mix of scoring chances and penalty areas, success will come down to smart decision-making and iron play.
Players who can take advantage of the reachable holes while avoiding mistakes around the water will separate themselves. Expect a balanced test where aggression is rewarded—but only when it’s controlled.
LIV Golf Virginia Predictions: Head to Head
Carlos Ortiz -114 over Abraham Ancer
Ortiz has more upside so we’ll take this fair price on him. Abraham Ancer has finished 26th, 16th, 13th, 11th the last 4 tournaments getting worse each start while Ortiz finished 17th, 8th, 21st, 6th last 4 tournaments. No history on this course, but Ancer’s putting has been pretty bad, I’ll ride with Ortiz here.
