DeAndre Ayton started off slow in the last series against the Houston Rockets, but he stepped in the final three games with 16, 17 and 10 rebounds.

Luka Doncic remains on the shelf due to an injury and Ayton averaged 9 rebounds per game without him on the court compared an average of 7.9 per game in games where Doncic played.

The Oklahoma City Thunder are a smaller team and Phoenix Suns center Oso Ighodaro managed to grab 8+ rebounds in 3/4 despite being a much more limited rebounder than Ayton.

Ayton played two games against the Thunder without Doncic on the court during the regular season and he logged 10 & 3 rebounds.

The Lakers center only played 23 minutes in the 3 rebound effort while logging only 8 rebound chances and he should see more minutes & volume tonight.
