NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Paul George (PHI) Over 15.5 Points (-112)

If the 76ers have any shot of tying this series up at 1-1 they need another efficient effort on offense from Paul George as we’ll take the veteran to go over 15.5 points in Game 2.

George has eclipsed this number in seven out of eight games this post season including 17 points on 6-11 shooting in Game 1.

He played in just 26 minutes, but would have played more had it not been for the blowout after playing 37 minutes per game in round one against Boston.

His three-point shooting has looked fantastic this post season as well shooting 56% from deep this post season so far and shooting 50% from the field overall.

Tyrese Maxey can’t do all the scoring himself and Joel Embiid is dealing with an ankle issue coming into this game that could potentially limit his production all around.

During the regular season George actually averaged over two points more per game on the road than at home and averaged 17.3 points per game overall on the season so getting over 15.5 points should require George to have an average game while averaging 22.6 points per 40 minutes this season.

Given this game isn’t a complete blowout for the second straight time we should see George on the court for more than 26 minutes so let’s take him over 15.5 points in Game 2 as Philadelphia looks to bounce back from a dreadful Game 1 performance.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Keldon Johnson (SA) Over 9.5 Points (+102)

Most of the NBA world was shocked to see San Antonio go down in Game 1 after being listed as double digit favorites ahead of tipoff as they’ll look to even the series at 1-1 before heading to Minnesota.

We’re going to take the longest tenured Spurs player Keldon Johnson to go over 9.5 points tonight after scoring 11 in Game 1.

Sure, Johnson didn’t hit this number once in five games against the Trail Blazers but along with the 11 points against Minnesota he played a playoff high 24 minutes and attempted ten shots which was also a playoff high.

In three head-to-head games against the Timberwolves this season Johnson averaged 19 points per game on 12 shot attempts per game and aside from Dylan Harper, he’s the only viable scoring threat that comes off the Spurs bench.

Johnson did average 22.6 points per 40 minutes and while we don’t expect Johnson to see that kind of court time tonight, we should just need him to eclipse 20 minutes on the court for him to score double digits.

We do expect Victor Wembanyama and/or De’Aaron Fox to have increased scoring efforts tonight, but we just need ten points for Johnson to cash this NBA player prop so let’s take him over 9.5 points in Game 2 at home where he averaged 13.8 points per game during the regular season.
