NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Tyler Herro (MIA) Over 21.5 Points (-115)

Tyler Herro and the Heat look to bounce back from a 135-118 loss at Indiana last night in which the Heat shooting guard tallied 31 points on 12-22 shooting.

We’re going to take Herro to go over 21.5 points back at home tonight against a 76ers team that has given up the fourth most points per game to shooting guards this season.

These two teams have already met twice this season, but Herro played in just one of those games scoring 25 points on 9-18 shooting.

He’s been dealing with injuries for a bulk of this season, but March has been the longest he’s gone without missing an extended period of time averaging 21.6 points per game this month on 48% shooting and 16 shot attempts per game.

It’s also worth noting that he’s 41-42 from the free throw line this month with the 76ers sitting 17th in defensive efficiency this season.

Norman Powell missed yesterday’s game and is questionable heading in with an illness so if he’s limited at all or misses the game completely, Herro’s usage will increase on the offensive end.

With a total in the mid-240s we should see an up and down, high scoring affair tonight in Miami so let’s take Herro to lead the offensive charge for the Heat going over 21.5 points on Monday night.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Keon Ellis (CLE) Over 8.5 Points (-105)

We cashed on a Keon Ellis scoring prop earlier this season and we’ll look to do it again tonight as the Cavaliers travel to take on the Jazz in Utah tonight.

We’ll take the Cavaliers small forward over 8.5 points with the Jazz giving up the most points per game to small forwards on the season.

Ellis once again is a prominent part of the Cavaliers rotation heading into tonight with Max Strus, Jaylon Tyson, Dean Wade and Jarrett Allen all dealing with injuries.

He scored 17 and 10 points respectively in each of the past two games against the Heat and is now seeing 27 minutes per game this month compared to 21.6 minutes per game in February.

His 9.2 points per game in March are the highest of any month this season and he’s averaging 8.8 points per game since the all-star break on 52% shooting.

The Jazz are dead last in defensive efficiency this season and third in pace which will equate to extra possessions for Cleveland with Utah allowing 134.2 points per game over their last five.

Take Ellis to be a valuable commodity off the bench tonight for Cleveland once again going over 8.5 points on the road.
