Premier League Preview #1: Burnley vs Brentford

Burnley +380 | Brentford -140 | Draw +280

Burnley’s dogged resilience was on full display last weekend as they fought back to claim a vital 1-1 draw against Chelsea on the road.

Zian Flemming’s clinical header deep into injury time earned the Clarets a share of the spoils, yet with a nine-point gap currently separating them from safety—and a woeful goal difference to boot—they will need much more over the coming weeks to secure their Premier League survival.

The primary concern for Burnley remains a defense that has conceded 1.93 goals per game this season, the worst record in the division by a significant margin.

While their home form has shown signs of defensive improvement, the fact remains that Burnley have failed to keep a clean sheet across any of their last six starts. This is a major red flag against a Brentford side that traditionally finds joy in the final third.

However, the Bees have been equally vulnerable at the back, managing only one clean sheet in their last six league outings also.

Given that five of the last six meetings between these two sides have produced at least three goals, all signs point toward another high-scoring encounter on Saturday.

Premier League Predictions: Over 2.5 (-118)

Premier League Preview #2: Brighton vs Nottingham Forest

Brighton +105 | Nottingham Forest +250 | Draw +240

Two teams searching for consistency head to the South Coast on Sunday as Nottingham Forest travel to the Amex to take on Brighton. The Seagulls bounced back with a much-needed win over Brentford last weekend, snapping a protracted winless drought that stretched back to the first week of January.

Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, suffered a heartbreaking defeat to Liverpool, conceding a winner seven minutes into stoppage time.

Despite that setback, Forest should not be overlooked; as they have won three of their last six games overall, including a dominant 3-0 “blowout” victory over Fenerbahçe in the Europa League.

While their domestic road form remains a hurdle—with only two wins in their last seven away trips—their offensive potential remains strong.

A key takeaway for this matchup is Forest’s struggles in the opening period away from home, where they own one of the league’s poorest defensive records.

With their last three first halves against Brighton specifically averaging 2.33 goals, Sunday’s clash once again looks primed to explode early.

Premier League Predictions: 1H Over 1 (-130)

Premier League Preview #3: Arsenal vs Chelsea

Arsenal -170 | Chelsea +440 | Draw +300

The weekend’s marquee fixture sees league leaders Arsenal host heated rivals Chelsea in a London Derby that could significantly shift the title race.

With only three wins in their last eight Premier League games, the media has begun whispering about Arsenal potentially “bottling” the title, a narrative the Gunners will be desperate to silence with a statement win in this one.

Arsenal have held a firm grip on this rivalry recently; eliminating Chelsea from the EFL Cup semi-finals earlier this month following a two-legged masterclass and, in fact, Chelsea have not beaten Arsenal across any competition since the start of the 2021/22 season.

The Gunners’ dominance is built on an elite first-half profile at home this season, where they average 2.15 PPG and boast a stellar 85% clean sheet percentage.

Chelsea, conversely, have looked far less convincing away from Stamford Bridge; with their PPG dropping from 2.07 at home to just 1.38 on the road, while their failure-to-score rate balloons from 29% to 62%.

Expect a focused Arsenal side to assert their authority early in this one and take control of this derby within the opening 45 minutes.

Premier League Prediction: 1H Arsenal -0.25 (-134)
