Boston Bruins vs Vegas Golden Knights Betting Analysis

Two of the top three teams in the league clash on Monday night as the Vegas Golden Knights travel over to the TD Garden in Boston to take on a Bruins team in some absolutely ruthless form right now.

The Bruins blew out the reigning Stanley Cup champions, the Colorado Avalanche, by a 5-1 margin on Saturday with a brace from both David Pastrnak and Trent Frederic as they continue to rank as the best offensive team in the league over the 2022-23 season.

Vegas have been in some slightly patchier form of late, winning just two of their last five games overall, but still boast a top-six defense this year as they look to get things back on track here on Monday.

These two teams faced each other twice last season with both teams winning on the road (and losing at home) by similar three-goal margins.

Cassidy Makes First Return To Boston Since Departure

After coming so close to lifting his first banner with Boston back in the 2018-19 season when Boston lost in seven games in the Stanley Cup Finals against the eventual winners the St. Louis Blues, Bruce Cassidy can nevertheless look back on his time in Boston as a huge success as he boasted an almost 70% win rate in the regular season over his time in charge of the Bruins.

He returns for the first time this season to Boston as he looks to continue his impressive first year in charge of the Vegas Golden Knights as they look for consecutive road wins in the league for the first time since November 10th.

Boston Lights Out Against The West

The Bruins remain the only team in the Eastern Conference to have won every game against Western Conference opposition this year, recording a perfect 9-0-0 mark against them, and will look to make it win #10 later tonight against the Golden Knights.

A large part of that success for Boston has been in their defense which has allowed just 2.13 gapg to opponents this year, along with a 7.18% opponent shot conversion percentage also, both #1 in the league overall.

It’s very difficult to fade this Boston team right now as they continue to get it done night after night, ranking as the #1 team in the league in both offensive and defensive scoring this year, and own a 75% win percentage across their last 72 home games in the TD Garden as well.

Either lay the lumber with Boston tonight or pass the game completely as they aim for yet another victory against the Vegas Golden Knights at home on Monday.
