THE PLAY: Lucas Glover Top 30 (+110)

Lucas is playing some solid golf recently with finishes of T9-T5-T23 coming into this week and is doing so with accuracy off the tee and exceptional ball striking with his irons. Glover has hit 68.89% of fairways this season, ranking him the 7th most accurate driver on tour in 2025. Lucas is solid with his irons but because of his lack of length off the tee, has seen longer iron shots than the field, but that is not a big issue at Sedgefield Country Club. Accuracy is going to be a premium this week and will force most players to play from specific yardages on approach. 125-150 is a popular yardage here in previous years and Glover ranks 2nd on tour this season from that bucket of yardage on approach.

This course is a great setup for the type of game that Lucas Glover plays which is evident with his win here back in 2023. Glover consistently gains strokes to the field off the tee here as well as on approach, but he has struggled on the greens here. Glover is coming off back-to-back efforts where he gained strokes on the greens to the field and the most recent was at Royal Portrush which is no easy feat. A win here may be a bit of a stretch, but I think he can quietly finish well here this week.

Consultant Bio

Working at a country club a mile east of Del Mar Racetrack, Sean was introduced to horse racing and his passion for the sport took off. The puzzle of going through past performances and replays appealed to Sean and spent his time after work listening to respected handicappers to learn as much as he could. In his first season playing the NHC Tour, he qualified for the Championship by placing 2nd in the LRF Cares contest after turning his initial $250 bankroll into $3,640.40. In this year's Xpressbet Kentucky Derby contest, Sean finished 6th by flipping the $2,000 bankroll into $15,681.85 while also taking home a 2024 Pegasus World Cup Betting Challenge entry valued at $6,000.
