THE PLAY: Sacramento St +10.0 (-107)
This one is clearly NOT for the "weak at heart." But, even if you give Sacramento State NOTHING for homefield advantage in this bit of Friday night "MAC-tion," I still can't get to this number.
Look, we've said it all year on "The Blitz" (see video below). Sac State is a FCS team masquerading as an FBS team. But Kent State is also a bottom 10 team in the country! There's just no way the Golden Flashes should ever be laying double digits on the road. They are 0-4 SU and ATS away from home this season with only 12 total points scored in those four road games!
Kent State is off a win against rival Akron, but was actually -46 in total yards and had the third worst net success rate of any winning team last week. Since 2021, the Golden Flashes are just 6-12 ATS when coming off a SU win. Traveling across the country, this is a clear letdown spot for them. I could only take the points here.
