THE PLAY: New York Rangers -130
My selection is on the New York Rangers. This is a favorable matchup for the Rangers, who have performed significantly better on the road this season and come in rested after a day off. Coming off back-to-back losses and having lost five of their last six, the Rangers are highly motivated and poised to deliver a strong, full-effort performance.
Meanwhile, the St. Louis Blues are playing on no rest after an emotionally charged 1-0 shutout win over Winnipeg last night—the very team that eliminated them in a heartbreaking Game 7 during last year's playoffs. That intense victory is likely to leave the Blues fatigued, creating an opportunity for the refreshed Rangers to capitalize. Play on New York.
THE PLAY: Detroit Lions -6.5 (-115)
The Steelers pulled through for me on Monday Night Football. It was a chilly home matchup against the Dolphins, but a road tilt in Detroit is going to be a much tougher test. Coming off a short week only makes it harder. Fresh off a defeat to the Rams, we're likely to get peak Lions performance.

And most recently, after losing to Green Bay in Week 13, they took down Dallas by 14.
That's a perfect 5-0 when playing the game after a loss, with an average margin of victory well over two touchdowns. Outlook for Pittsburgh? Pain. Lay the points with the Lions.
