The Western Kentucky Hilltoppers went out and got Maverick McIvor from Albien Christian, and when I was filming my Week Zero picks on Wagertalk TV I told everyone to write down his name. He's lived up to expectations, and once again the Hilltoppers have one of the top passing offenses in the country. Defense has always been their Achilles Heel, and this season they actually rank among the top of the CUSA against the pass. The problem is, they are an underdog on the road at Delaware, and the Hens can really run the ball. This game has shootout written all over it!

THE PLAY: 1H Georgia -11.5 (-102)
This is a free play on UGA 1H.
The Bulldogs are now 33-1 in their last 34 home games, and 1-7 in their last eight versus Alabama. This version of Georgia football simply isn't as dominant as it was in the Carson Beck and Brock Bowers era. I am not sure if they are any better than the team that won 13-12 at Kentucky last year. That said, this is a big bounce back spot at home for Georgia, while last year's game at Kentucky was a look ahead spot with Alabama on deck. Brock Vandagriff was a big disappointment at QB for the Wildcats last year, but their QB situation is far worse this season. Freshman Cutter Boley threw for 124 yards and two INTs on 10-of-19 passing in a 35-13 loss at South Carolina. Now he faces a pissed off Georgia team that is in need of a statement. UGA has won 10 straight in the series, and the last time Kentucky played at Athens they lost 51-13 in 2023. It might be another 50 burger for the Bulldogs this week.

Who is Jesse Schule?
He's no soothsayer, and he doesn't have a crystal ball, but Jesse Schule can indeed predict the future. As a professional handicapper, it is part of his job description. His clients have accused him of secretly possessing Marty McFly's Sports Almanac, but he tells us the secret to his success is partly thanks to his fascination with history. The idea that you can predict the future by studying the past is nothing new. Historians have been doing it for years.
Jesse made headlines in 2019 when he not only predicted that the Toronto Raptors would beat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals but also cashed in prop bets on the Finals MVP and the number of games it would take for Toronto to win the series. Keep in mind that the Warriors were an overwhelming favorite, and the Washington Post actually wrote an article titled: NBA Finals Experts picks: Basically, no one thinks the Raptors can beat the Warriors.
Some might call it luck, especially given the injuries to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. As luck would have it, though, just two years earlier, Jesse had won in a similar fashion by exploiting the player prop markets in the 2017 NBA Finals. Jesse told his clients before the series started that he thought there was a good chance the series would be over in 4-5 games, and that presented excellent value in shorting the player performance totals for key players, especially on the losing team. He ended up making six futures bets on the series, winning all six of those bets.
His success is by no means limited to the NBA, and his accolades include several #1 finishes over the years. From 06/01/2021 to 06/01/2024 Jesse was the overall money leader at Sportsmemo.com, posting an impressive record of (1783-1356-64) +198.62 units. He finished 2022 as the #1 NFL handicapper at Sportsmemo; he was also #1 with All Football and All Soccer for the calendar year.
