THE PLAY: Fluminense at Borussia Dortmund - Both Teams To Score Yes (-125)

2% Fluminense/Borussia Dortmund - Both Teams To Score (12:00 ET): Following their outstanding finish to the season in Germany, I view Dortmund as a real “dark horse” to win this entire FIFA Club World Cup. In fact, I’ve already bet Serhou Guirassy to be the top goal scorer for the tournament! Thus, it stands to reason there should be an expectation for goals to be scored when Dortmund is on the pitch during this Group Stage. After all, Dortmund scored multiple goals in 10 of their 12 matches, including three or more in each of the last six. So scoring at least once against Brazilian side Fluminense in the opener seems pretty likely to me. 

Now Fluminense is no slouch in the goal-scoring department either. They have scored a total of 10 goals in their past four games as the Serie A season in Brazil is still ongoing. Each of those L4 games have seen Fluminense score at least one first half goal and, going back further, Fluminense have scored at least two goals in six of their last seven competitive matches. They are actually unbeaten over the last six, so they’ll be no pushovers here for Dortmund, who are clearly the better side, but also haven’t played competitively in a month. The bottom line is - win, lose or draw - I do expect Fluminense to score at least one goal here. 

Initially, I was just going to bet Over 2.75 in this match, but with the BTTS-Yes prop being so cheap, that’s the better play. Dortmund winning 3-0 would suck, but that would also only be a half win on Over 2.75. I don’t really like the juice on 2.5. But the “beauty” of playing Both Teams To Score is that (obviously) a 1-1 final gets us home. It would obviously be downright shocking if Dortmund didn’t score. But while there was clear defensive improvement under Niko Kovac, Dortmund still conceded 13 goals in their L8 matches and kept only two clean sheets since March 4th. 2% Fluminense/Borussia Dortmund - Both Teams To Score (Play to -145)
