Last night's game produced 10 runs. On a warm Wednesday evening, we should see plenty of offense again. Kirby is a very capable pitcher but he's still working his way back into form. This will be just his second start this season and he struggled (12.27 ERA, 1.91 WHIP) in the first one. Speaking of struggling, Williams is 2-5 with a 6.39 ERA for Washington. In four May starts, he's 1-2 with a 7.45 ERA and 1.60 WHIP. Williams allowed eight hits in four innings, in his lone career start at Seattle. That game, which was in June of 2023, finished with 12 runs. Given the fact that Washington's bullpen has a combined 6.22 ERA and 1.62 WHIP, another high-scoring affair is likely in the cards.
