RB Leipzig vs VfB Stuttgart Betting Analysis

RB Leipzig return home on Friday night over in the German Bundesliga after coming off a 6-1 rout of Schalke 04 on Tuesday night as they closed the gap on league leaders Bayern Munich at the top of the table to just four points.

VfB Stuttgart meanwhile battled out to a 2-2 draw on the road against Hoffenheim on the same night, a game they came very close to winning outright with a late 93rd-minute strike from Andrej Kramaric giving Hoffenheim a share of the spoils in that game.

RB Leipzig have been absolutely ruthless against Stuttgart in this venue over recent seasons, winning each of their last four meetings to nil in Red Bull Arena by a combined 9-0 scoreline.

Stuttgart’s Road Issues

VfB Stuttgart have ran into some major problems on the road this season, ranking as one of only three teams left in the league still to pick up a single win away from home this year.

That’s been largely down a defense that has allowed 19 goals away from home this season (2.38 gapg on average), and who have allowed the highest number of goals from open play to opponents this year as well.

RB Leipzig Ruthless At Home

In what’s been a far cry from Stuttgart’s stuttering road form this year, RB Leipzig have been an absolute machine at home, failing to lose a single game all season inside Red Bull Arena and generating the league’s 2nd highest goal differential also behind only league leaders Bayern Munich.

RB Leipzig’s data remains in close step with those results also, with the Red Bulls ranking narrowly in 2nd place behind only Bayern Munich in terms of offensive xG at home this season as well.

RB Leipzig vs VfB Stuttgart Prediction

RB Leipzig have been an absolute juggernaut at home this season, and have pretty much picked up right where they left off after the recent World Cup break as well, gaining a draw against Bayern last week and demolishing Schalke 04 on Tuesday night also.

Because of that, along with VfB Stuttgart’s struggling road form this season, we simply have to look towards taking the home side in this one to win and cover big on Friday night.
