Valladolid vs Getafe | Sunday June 4 | 3:00pm ET

Valladolid +120 | Getafe +240 | Draw +235

Valladolid vs Getafe La Liga prediction data

With the final matchday of the season on deck this Sunday over in LaLiga, Valladolid are the ones who find themselves with the greater need to pick up all three points ahead of this one given where they currently sit in the table.

La Pucela currently find themselves in the relegation zone, but have turned their fortunes around across recent games, generating four points from their last two matchups overall, and need another positive result on Sunday also in order to guarantee their survival for next season.

While a draw might also be enough for Valladolid in this one, it does leave them open to then needing results from other games, most notably an Almeria loss against Espanyol, so Paulo Pezzolano’s squad will no doubt be keyed in solely for the win here in order to eliminate any doubt.

Getafe for their part aren’t completely out of the woods themselves, but would need an awful lot to go against them in the final matchday to fall into the relegation zone. Anything other than a loss here and their survival for next season’s LaLiga campaign would be assured.

Valladolid have a solid recent head-to-head record at home against Getafe, winning both of the last two head-to-heads against them in the Estadio Jose Zorrilla, and haven’t lost to Getafe in this venue in well over a decade as well.

Take the home side, Valladolid, with the greater urgency in this one to continue their good form by delivering another victory at home against Getafe on Sunday.

Prediction: Valladolid -0.25 (-115)

Celta Vigo vs Barcelona | Sunday June 4 | 3:00pm ET

Celta Vigo +180 | Barcelona +135 | Draw +280

Real Madrid vs Rayo Vallecano prediction data

League champions Barcelona travel to the Estadio de Balaidos on Sunday to take on a Celta Vigo team who desperately need a win in their final matchday to guarantee survival in the top flight of Spanish football for at least one more season.

That may well be easier said than done however as Celta Vigo are in the worst form of any team in LaLiga currently, generating just 0.50 PPG and keeping a clean sheet just once over their last ten games, and losing four of their last five matchups outright as well.

Barcelona showed up last time to see off Mallorca in a 3-0 rout at home, but on the road, they just haven’t looked as intimidating of late as they look to finish out the season at a canter.

The Catalan giants have won just one of their last four road games overall after securing the title, and even in that sole win, La Blaugrana gave up two goals against an underwhelming Espanyol side two weeks ago, so to say their focus isn’t at 100% would be an understatement.

That said, Celta Vigo know exactly what they have to do on Sunday in order to punch their ticket into next season’s LaLiga campaign, with even a draw possibly being enough, though that would see them in serious jeopardy of other results not going their way, so Los Celestes know they likely need a win in this one and they’ll no doubt be zeroed in on making that happen as a result.

However, even against an unfocused Barcelona team this weekend, that will be extremely difficult to accomplish as even players such as goalkeeper Marc-Andre ter Stegen want to start for Barcelona in this one so he can potentially break the record for the highest number of clean sheets in a single season, so Barcelona won’t simply roll over and hand Celta Vigo the victory on Sunday.

Overall, we’re expecting a really tight game from both teams this weekend and one that likely ends in a stalemate as a result.

Prediction: Draw (+280)

Real Sociedad vs Sevilla | Sunday June 4 | 12:30pm ET

Real Sociedad -130 | Sevilla +335 | Draw +300

Real Sociedad vs Sevilla La Liga prediction data

After Sevilla’s historic Europa League victory on Wednesday night, their 7th title in just 17 years, there’s no question La Rojiblancos will be less than focused ahead of Sunday’s effectively meaningless game for them against Real Sociedad at the Reale Arena in San Sebastian this weekend.

An extra-time penalty shootout victory over Roma in that game will no doubt add to the lethargy for Sevilla ahead of this one, and we’ve seen the line already shoot up from an opener of Real Sociedad -0.25 to even -0.75 at some books as a result of that midweek game.

However, Real Sociedad don’t have a lot to play for themselves after what was another stellar campaign for the home side across 2022-23, with Imanol Alguacil’s squad having already punched their ticket into next season’s Champions League competition.

The Basque side have been incredibly strong at home this year, with no team having a better overall defensive xGA at home than Real Sociedad have across 2023, and only the two heavyweights of Barcelona and Real Madrid losing fewer total games at home than Real Sociedad on the season as well.

With Sevilla likely tapped out after Wednesday night’s historic success, with no other team in UEFA Cup/Europa League history even having won half of what they’ve managed to accomplish inside just two decades, Real Sociedad should put on one final show in front of their home fans on Sunday, and likely take the victory against Sevilla this weekend.

Prediction: Real Sociedad ML (-130)
