2023 NFL Most Passing Yards Prop

2023 NFL Quarterbacks Odds to Have Most NFL Passing Yards
Patrick Mahomes +475
Justin Herbert +700
Joe Burrow +700
Josh Allen +1100
Kirk Cousins +1100
Tua Tagovailoa +1300
Trevor Lawrence +1400
Jared Goff +1800
Deshaun Watson +1800
Derek Carr +2000

Most Passing Yards Player Prop Sleeper Prediction

This is a tough category to find a true sleeper as it’s hard to imagine anyone outside of the top ten even sniffing the top spot. I strongly considered Kirk Cousins but didn’t feel as that he fit the mold of a sleeper with the 5th most likely odds to lead the league.

Derek Carr is coming off a down year in 2022 but did finish in 5th place during the 2021 campaign with a career-high 4,804 passing yards.

A change of scenery where the New Orleans Saints let Carr air it out more should certainly benefit his production.

Carr will have one of the best receiving running backs in the game in his backfield with Alvin Kamara and wide receiver Chris Olave finished his rookie campaign with 72 receptions for 1,042 yards. Admittedly this is a long shot, but what do you expect from a +2000 sleeper play?

Most Passing Yards Sleeper Prediction: Derek Carr +2000

Most Passing Yards Player Prop Bust Prediction

Injuries always have to be a concern when it comes to predictions on futures and concussions are at the top of that list.

Miami Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has reportedly bulked up and worked on his falling technique during the offseason after dealing with multiple head and neck injuries during the 2022 campaign.

However, those weren’t his first brushes with injuries and every time he leaves the pocket Fins fans and Tua backers will hold their collective breath.

The Dolphins skill positions are loaded between wideouts Tyreek Hill & Jaylen Waddle and running backs Raheem Mostert & Devon Achane. However, the injury concerns are enough for me to question Tua sitting at the 6th spot for favorites to lead the NFL in passing yards.

Most Passing Yards Bust Prediction: Tua Tagovailoa +1300

Most Passing Yards Player Prop Best Prediction

Any quarterback list for passing yard leaders that doesn’t mention Patrick Mahomes is incorrect as he has led the league once, finished top ten every year and only missed the top three twice in his five seasons as a starter.

However, I’m looking toward his division rival in Justin Herbert at much better odds. Herbert finished his rookie season at 6th in passing yards and followed that up with a 2nd place finish in his sophomore campaign.

Last season he finished #2 once again, despite banged up receivers, a rib injury and a check down loving play caller. Kellen Moore takes over the play-calling and he let Dak Prescott sling it for 240+ yards a game even with some injury shortened weeks.

The Chargers also added dynamic rookie Quentin Johnston to an already talented receiving corps that includes Keenan Allen and Mike Williams.

Herbert also has an outstanding receiving back in Austin Ekeler and there are rumors of a potential DeAndre Hopkins signing in Los Angeles. Herbert seems primed for a 5,000-yard passing season in 2023.

Most Passing Yards Player Prop Prediction: Justin Herbert +700
