Best NFL Monday Night Football Props Prediction: JK Dobbins, Broncos OVER 62.5 Rushing Yards (-110)
JK Dobbins has covered this line in 2 of his first 3 games of the season and his yardage has increased each week with 63, 76 and 83 yards.
Dobbins is only averaging 13.7 rush attempts per game, but he’s been highly efficient with an average of 5.4 yards per carry.
RJ Harvey is Dobbins main competition for the workload and Harvey’s yards & carries have decreased weekly and he only played 33% of the snaps in Week 3.
Dobbins currently ranks 1st in explosive run rate, 14th in missed tackles forced per attempt and 20th in yards after contact per attempt.
Now Dobbins gets an opportunity to feast on a Cincinnati Bengals defense that has allowed the 6th most rushing yards, 13th most yards per carry and 3rd most rush attempts per game.
The Bengals pass defense has also been horrendous, but Bo Nix pass attempts have declined on a weekly basis and he’s only averaging 178.3 passing yards per game through the first three weeks of the season.
The Broncos are -7.5-point home favorites so Dobbins should see a favorable game script and the books are expecting a full workload with his rush attempts line set at 14.5.
Best NFL Monday Night Football Props Prediction: Mason Taylor, Jets OVER 20.5 Receiving Yards (-105)
Mason Taylor set career highs in receptions (4) and targets (6) while landing on 18 receiving yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 3.
Taylor’s route count has increased in each of the first three weeks of the season with 20, 25 and 29. Now Taylor is facing a Miami Dolphins defense that has been carved up by opposing tight ends this season as Tyler Warren caught 7 passes for 76 yards (Week 1), Austin Hooper 3/38 (Week 2) and Dalton Kincaid 5/66 (Week 3).
The Dolphins have played 2-high safety defense at the 6th highest rate in the NFL, and they have allowed the most yards after the catch to inline receivers (TE/slot).
Justin Fields is returning at starting quarterback but head coach Aaron Glenn, has made it clear that Taylor is a priority.
“We want to do everything to get Mason more involved, he’s a dynamic player that needs to get the ball more”.
We also have a narrative angle here as Mason’s father is longtime Dolphin & NFL Hall of Famer Jason Taylor and he’ll be playing on the field that his father was carried off in his final game. The Jets are desperate to avoid an 0-4 hole, and they will surely look to exploit this matchup.
