Toronto Raptors vs Brooklyn Nets Analysis
The Nets will travel to Toronto tonight after getting drubbed last night by this same Raptors team last night in Brooklyn. The final score was 133-97 as the Raptors dominated from start to finish and the Nets shot only 38% from the field. The Raptors open up as -8.5 favorites with a total of 218.5 points. There’s a winning play sure to make money off this game, we just have to find it.
NETS HAVE NO CHANCE?
Without Kyrie, this team was dominated from the opening tip, and they might not have Drummond tonight as he got hurt in last night’s game. Even if he plays, he won’t be 100-percent, and we saw last night without Kyrie, and Durant this lineup struggles to keep up. Lamarcus Aldridge led the team with 15 points, and they could only go 33-of-86 from the field.
Back-to-back games can be tricky as the team that gets blown out normally comes back strong, but I don’t see where the firepower comes from. Going down the starting lineup I don’t see one position that Brooklyn has an advantage outside of Mills v Flynn, but even so Flynn outplayed Mills last night.
RAPTORS GET MUCH-NEEDED WIN
The Raptors had lost four out of five coming into last nights game, and got a huge confidence boost with a 36-point win. They shouldn’t be tired for tonight’s back-to-back as their bench players were able to play most of the fourth quarter so I don’t see fatigue being an issue.
Barnes had a big game, and the win was even more impressive seeing as they got nothing from Birch, and Siakam had a horrible game going 2-14 from the field. They were without VanVleet last night, and might be without him tonight, but don’t forget that these are important games for Eastern Conference teams to give Brooklyn as many losses as possible now to give Durant and company the biggest hole to dig out of for playoff seeding when they return.
Toronto Raptors vs Brooklyn Nets Prediction
I’m going to play the Raptors first half -4.5. I don’t see how this game tonight goes much different from last night’s game unless Brooklyn shoots lights out from threes. Toronto was up by 23 at halftime last night, and I’ll take them to have a substantial lead again at half, and to avoid a back door cover with the bench players I’ll stick with the first half.
