Sacramento Kings vs Phoenix Suns Betting Analysis

The Phoenix Suns travel to the Golden 1 Center for a Western Conference clash with the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. The Kings will be looking for a bounce back after getting trucked 122-104 by the Boston Celtics.

The Suns edged out the Utah Jazz in 113-112 home victory. This will be the first of four games in a regular season series that they split 2-2 last season. Tip-off is scheduled for 10:00 PM EST/7:00 PST.

Suns Shine In Fourth Straight Victory

After sweeping a four game homestand with a victory over the Utah Jazz, the Phoenix Suns make a quick trip to the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento.

Deandre Ayton led all scorers and rebounders with an impressive 29 point 21 rebound double-double. Devin Booker had a double-double of his own with 27 points and 11 rebounds while leading his team in assists with 7. At 13-6 on the season, Phoenix sits at first place in the Western Conference with a one game lead over the Denver Nuggets.

The Suns rank 11th in both scoring and shooting with 114.6 points and 47.2% on the season. Booker paces the team with 27.1 points per game on 46.1% from the floor. They have the 8th best three-point percentage in the league while taking advantage of opportunities from the charity stripe at 4th in team free throw percentage.

Defense has been the calling card as they rank 5th in points per game at 107.7 on 45.5% shooting. However the one glaring weakness is on the perimeter where they rank 27th with a 37.6% percentage from beyond the arc. Chris Paul (heel) & Cam Johnson (knee) both remain out while Jae Crowder still hasn’t joined the team due to personal issues.

Defend The Kings?

The Sacramento Kings record dipped to 10-8 on the season after getting crushed by the Boston Celtics on Friday night. De’Aaron Fox paced his team with 20 points on only 6 for 17 from the floor. Domantas Sabonis had an 18 point 10 rebound double-double while leading his team in assists with 6.

The Kings currently sit at 6th place in 3 Western Conference, 2.5 games behind the Suns. Offense has been easy to come by as the Kings rank 2nd with 119.1 per game on the leagues 3rd best shooting percentage of 49.1%.

Fox has led Sacramento in scoring with 25.1 points a game on 53% from the field. They rank middle of the pack in free throw percentage at 15th with 79.2% from the charity stripe. The Kings defense is one of the worst in the league as they rank third worst in adjusted defensive rating.

They also rank 26th in points allowed with 117.1 a game and 29th in shooting percentage against at 49.5% from the floor.

The Kings don’t guard the perimeter well either as they allow the 2nd highest three-point percentage at 38.6% from deep. Phoenix sports a clean injury report which is a rarity these days.

Sacramento Kings vs Phoenix Suns Player Prop Prediction

This game is a virtual pick’em with the Phoenix Suns favored by only a point with a high total set at 233.5. This game should be wide open with tons of scoring as both teams shoot the lights out but struggle to protect the perimeter.

It seems like shots will be dropping with ease tonight, making rebounds tough to come by. De’Andre Ayton is coming off a monster effort but as a prop bettor I know he can be frustratingly inconsistent with his rebounding & scoring.

The Kings are actually an outstanding rebounding team as they allow the 3rd fewest rebounds, fewest offensive rebounds and 4th fewest rebounds to opposing centers. The Kings now have one a the best rebounders in the league in Domantas Sabonis.

Ayton has landed on single digit rebounds in 3 of the last 7 games against Sabonis, including his first as a member of the Kings. Let’s count on the shots continuing to fall for both sides, making boards tough to come by and keeping Ayton to 10 or less.

Prediction: Deandre Ayton Under 10.5 Rebounds -130 Draftkings

Andy Lang has lived in Indianapolis his whole life, and like most people from the Hoosier State, he became fascinated with motor sports. That interest in motor sports turned into a desire to make money off the sport through fantasy contests and sports betting. Like most, he took his lumps when he first got started, but now he is one of the most respected NASCAR bettors in the industry. Andy has expanded that sports betting experience to become profitable in a number of other sports, transforming this interest from a side hobby to a major source of income.
