Sacramento Kings vs New York Knicks Betting Analysis
The New York Knicks begin a west coast road trip with an interconference clash with the Sacramento Kings on Thursday evening.
The Kings are coming off a 123-108 loss against the New Orleans Pelicans on Monday night. The Knicks watched a nine game winning streak fall by the wayside in a 112-105 home loss against the Charlotte Hornets.
This is the second and final game in a regular season series that New York leads 1-0 after beating Sacramento 112-99 at Madison Square Garden in December. Tip-off is slated for 10:00 PM EST/7:00 PM PST as the nightcap of a TNT Thursday night doubleheader.
Kings Chase The Two Seed
The Sacramento Kings improved to 38-26 on the season after winning six of their last seven games including a victory over New Orleans in their last game.
The Kings outshot the Pels 16-38 to 11-29 from beyond the arc. Domantas Sabonis recorded a 19 point, 11 rebound, 11 assist triple-double. Kevin Huerter led all scorers with 25 points along with 8 rebounds while Davion Mitchell chipped in with 15 points.
The Kings are now neck-and-neck with the Memphis Grizzlies for the #2 seed in the Western, seven games behind the first place Nuggets.
Sacramento scores 121 points a game, making them the top scoring team in the NBA by a wide margin of three full points.
Defense has been a different story, as they sit at 25th in defensive rating and 28th in defensive scoring with 118.4 points allowed per game. The Kings are sporting a squeaky clean injury report for this contest.
Nine Game Streak Snapped In New York
The New York Knicks fell to 39-28 on the season after the Charlotte Hornets snapped their nine game winning streak. The Hornets outshot New York 49% to 42% from the field.
RJ Barrett led his team in scoring with 27 points, despite shooting only 1-7 from three-point land. Julius Randle scored 16 points but shot only 5-17 from the field while Jalen Brunson missed the game with injury.
The Knicks now sit at 5th place in the Eastern Conference, nine games behind the first place Celtics and four games from slipping into the play-in tournament. Star guard Jalen Brunson is listed as questionable for this one with a lingering foot injury.
Sacramento Kings vs New York Knicks Expert Player Prop Prediction

The Sacramento Kings are small home favorites with a spread of 2 points and a total sitting at 239.5. This should be an outstanding showdown between two teams who only get to lock horns twice a year.
Kings point guard De’Aaron Fox missed the first head-to-head meeting with New York but has recorded 8, 6, 7, 11 & 7 assists in his last five games against the Knicks.
Fox has also cleared his assist mark of 6.5 in his last four games with 7, 7, 8 & 12 assists on an average of 13.5 potential assists per game.
The Knicks have allowed 15 players to record 6 assists or more in their last 13 games with the majority of these players being guards. Sabonis is obviously a facilitator as well but Fox will be taking the ball down the court late in what should be a close game.
The projected total tells us there will be plenty of assists to go around and I’m fully expecting Fox to get the lions share for Sacramento.
