NBA Props Picks for Tuesday: Karl-Anthony Towns New York Knicks UNDER 10.5 Rebounds (-106)
Karl-Anthony Towns has been an absolute menace on the boards recently and he’s coming off an 18-rebound effort against the Oklahoma City Thunder, so we get a sell high spot tonight in a tough matchup against the Houston Rockets.
The Rockets have allowed the 3rd fewest rebounds overall and 2nd fewest to opposing centers with an average of only 12.8 rebounds per game.
KAT has fallen short of this line in 7/10 games against teams ranked top 7 in rebounds allowed to centers with Mitchell Robinson on the court (avg 9.6/game).
Houston held Towns under this line in 4 of their last 5 head-to-head meetings including a 7-rebound effort on 14 rebound chances in late February.
This game should be played at a snail’s pace with these teams being ranked 26th & 27th in pace of play and that’s reflected in the total being set at 217.5.
That will further limit rebound chances and with Robinson on the court KAT will struggle to beat his line in an already tough matchup.
NBA Props Picks for Tuesday: Toumani Camara Portland Trailblazers OVER 18.5 Points + Rebounds (-122)
Jerami Grant has already been ruled out for this contest and Toumani Camara has covered this line 9 of his last 11 games without him on the court while averaging 17.8 points & 4.9 rebounds on 9.8 rebound chances per game.
Without Grant, there is an extra 18+ points & 3+ rebounds per game on the table and Camara has been a clear beneficiary.
Shaedon Sharpe also remains out and Camara has cleared this PR line in 3/3 games without both players on the floor while averaging 29.7 PR per game.
The Los Angeles Clippers rank bottom 10 in defense against above-the-break threes where Camara does a ton his scoring and he’s already had success in this matchup with 23 PR across 39 minutes in December.
The Clippers are a strong defense, but they have allowed the 9th most points to opposing forwards during their last 15 games.
We have seen multiple forwards eclipse their respective PR lines against LA including Obi Toppin (28), Marvin Bagley III (24), PJ Washington (27), Precious Achiuwa (38) and Matas Buzelis (29).
Camara will see increased usage with solid rebounding opportunities, and this is a very manageable number in what should be a competitive game with a spread of -5.5.
