Expert NBA Player Props for Friday: Michael Porter Jr, Nuggets UNDER 6.5 Rebounds + Assists (-135)

Michael Porter Jr is clearly dealing with a shoulder injury, and he’s fallen well short of this line in both games of this series with only 4 and 5 Rebounds + Assists on 12 and 9 combined chances.

Since the shoulder injury, Porter Jr has gone under this line in 6/7 games while averaging only 4.9 RA per game. MPJ has been rarely used as a facilitator with only 5 assists on 14 potential assists during his last 11 games!

He does get a somewhat friendly rebounding matchup while defending Chet Holmgren, but the ball essentially needs to fall into his lap due to his impaired shoulder.

The Denver Nuggets have favored Russell Westbrook to close out games and Porter Jr has only played 25 & 24 minutes in the first two games of the series.

Expert NBA Player Props for Friday: Jamal Murray, Nuggets UNDER 21.5 Points (-125)

Jamal Murray has officially entered the “Dorture Chamber” as he’s only scored 14 and 21 points in the first two games of this series while shooting a combined 10-25 (40%) from the field.

Lu Dort has pestered Murray on the pick & roll with a ton of pressure, and it’s made it very difficult for him to get open looks.

Murray has fallen short of this line in 4/5 head-to-head games against the Oklahoma City Thunder while averaging only 19.6 points per game.

He’s actually gone under this number in 6/9 playoff games while averaging 21.7 points per game. I am expecting for this to be a more competitive game, but Dort will continue to harass Murray and force him into tough shots.
