Expert NBA Player Props for Wednesday: Andrew Nembhard, Pacers OVER 17.5 Points + Assists (-114)

Andrew Nembhard has really stepped up in the playoffs during the past two seasons and he’s covered this line in 7 of his last 10 games while averaging 20.6 Points + Assists per game.

All three of his misses came in games decided by 16 points or more and we should see a competitive game tonight with a spread set at -4.5.

In last year’s playoff series, the Pacers utilized Nembhard as the primary defender for Jalen Brunson, and he should be able to create his own offense and expose the Knicks on the other side of the court.

The Knicks will run a similar defense to the Cleveland Cavaliers where they sell out on shutting down Tyrese Haliburton and that will set up Nembhard to be the primary facilitator. Look for Rick Carlisle to target Brunson’s defense with Nembhard in isolation and pick & roll sets.

Nembhard has taken advantage of the opposition focusing on Haliburton, Turner & Siakam as 46% of his field goals have been deemed wide-open during the postseason and we should expect the same during this series.

Expert NBA Player Props for Wednesday: Pascal Siakam, Pacers OVER 6.5 Rebounds (-132)

Pascal Siakam has only cleared this line in 4 of his 10 postseason games but he is coming off an 8-rebound effort against the Cleveland Cavaliers and he will see some great rebound chances with Karl Anthony-Towns playing the five.

Power forwards have thrived on the glass against the Knicks as Harris logged 6, 13, 6, 8, 8 & 5 rebounds and Jayson Tatum logged 16, 14, 9 & 8 rebounds.

OG Anunoby is mostly utilized as a spot-up shooter, Siakam should be his primary defender and that will allow him to grab some easy boards.

Siakam only covered this number in 1/3 head-to-head games against New York this season with 5, 8 and 5 rebounds but one of those misses was due to him playing only 23 minutes in a 25-point blowout.

We should see a competitive game tonight with a spread set at -4.5 and Siakam has been aggressive on the glass in Game 1’s with 7 & 8 rebounds this season and 7+ rebounds in 2/3 games last season.
