Expert NBA Player Props for Thursday: Chet Holmgren, Thunder OVER 25.5 Points + Rebounds (-115)

The Indiana Pacers ranked 2nd in pace of play this season which makes it tough for traditional bigs like Isaiah Hartenstein to keep up and IHart was run off the court while only playing 14 minutes in his lone game against them this season.

Chet Holmgren didn’t face the Pacers this season, but I fully expect him to utilize his mobility in a high tempo series against a team that allowed the 9th most transition buckets this season.

Holmgren has great rebounding upside as he logged 8 & 13 rebounds on 13 & 22 rebound chances against Indiana during the 2023-24 campaign.

The Pacers allowed the 4th most rebounds overall this season while allowing opposing centers to grab 14+ rebounds per game.

In playoff games with 30+ minutes this season, Holmgren has recorded 26+ PR in four straight games and 7 of 8 games.

Holmgren also recorded 13+ field goal attempts & 13+ rebound chances in 7 of those 8 games and with that type of volume I’m confident in Holmgren clearing this line.

Expert NBA Player Props for Thursday: Bennedict Mathurin, Pacers OVER 7.5 Points (+100)

Bennedict Mathurin was limited in the Eastern Conference Finals as the Indiana Pacers needed to match Mitchell Robinsons size and rebounding ability, but the Oklahoma City Thunder play at a faster pace that should lead to more minutes for Mathurin.

Mark Daigneault is going to make it his mission to shut down Tyrese Haliburton so the Pacers will need a player who can create his own shot off the bench.

Mathurin managed to record 20- and 23-point efforts in the series against the Knicks despite his limited minutes.

Mathurin also scored 18 points across 39 minutes in his lone game against OKC this season while shooting only 5-13 from the field.

He was aggressive in attacking the basket in that game and that led to him converting 6 of 8 free throw attempts. We shouldn’t expect for him to play 30+ minutes, but this line is just too low based on his potential role.
