Chicago Bulls vs Brooklyn Nets Betting Analysis
The Brooklyn Nets travel to Chicago for an Eastern Conference clash with the Bulls on Wednesday evening. The Bulls are coming off a demoralizing 145-134 overtime loss against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Nets won their 12th straight game 139-103 at home against the San Antonio Spurs. This is the second of four regular season meetings as Chicago prevailed 108-99 in Brooklyn on November 1st. Tip-off is scheduled for 8:00 PM EST/5:00 PST from the United Center.
Bulls Need Some Consistency
The Chicago Bulls lost their second straight game to Cleveland Cavaliers on Monday, dropping their record to 16-21 on the season. It was a 145-134 overtime loss where they allowed Donovan Mitchell to score 71 points against them.
Demar Derozan led the team in scoring with 44 points on 16-32 from the floor and 10-12 from the charity stripe. Zach Lavine added 26 points while Nikola Vucevic recorded a 20 point, 13 rebound double-double.
It was a close hard fought game where the Cavs had small edges in shooting and rebounding. The Bulls have now lost two straight games after winning 5 of their prior 6 games. Chicago is slightly above average in scoring at 14th with 114.3 points per game.
They have struggled defensively at 21st in defensive rating and 18th in scoring with 115.6 points allowed per game. Derrick Jones Jr and Javonte Green have both been ruled out for this contest while Andre Drummond is listed as probable with a left acromioclavicular sprain.
Nets On Fire
The Brooklyn Nets are the NBAs hottest team as they improved to 25-12 on the season with their 12th straight victory over the San Antonio Spurs on Monday. The Nets had a tremendous shooting advantage, going 58-93 (62.4%) compared to the Spurs going 42-97 (43.3%).
Kyrie Irving led all scorers with 27 points along with a team high 8 rebounds. Kevin Durant recorded a 25 point, 11 assist double-double while TJ Warren chipped in with 18 points off the bench. Brooklyn ranks 12th in scoring with an average of 115.2 points a game.
Surprisingly defense has been their calling card as they sit at 10th in defensive rating and 7th in defensive scoring with only 110.8 points allowed per game. Royce O’Neale and Markieff Morris are both listed as probable for this contest due to an illness.
Chicago Bulls vs Brooklyn Nets Same Game Parlay Prediction
The Brooklyn Nets are favored by 4.5 points over the Chicago Bulls with a total set at 236. Brooklyn is the hottest team in the league and are facing a Bulls team who can’t take advantage of their weaknesses.
With big time scorers like Derozan, Durant, Lavine and Irving involved with a high total it seems like a perfect fit for a same game parlay. The Nets have been scoring in bunches and win or loss I think we see plenty of points out of them.
Their team total is 120+, but we will lower it to over 112.5. Brooklyn has scored 112 or more in 11 of 12 games during this run while landing on 108 in the only other game. Derozan will be relied upon heavily to score early and often as his teams top scorer with 26.7 points per game.
He has scored 20+ points in 29-37 games this season for a 78% success rate, that’s what we will ask from him tonight. It’s a similar story with Kevin Durant who leads the Nets with 29.6 points per game. He has scored 25+ points in 30 of 36 games this season for a 83% success rate and that will be our thi4d and final leg of this same game parlay for -125 odds.
