76ers vs Thunder Analysis

The Oklahoma City Thunder limp into Philadelphia on a three game losing streak to face a revamped 76ers squad. This will be the first game in a three game trip for the Thunder, the 76ers are playing the second game of a four game homestand.
Oklahoma City was already struggling but they are completely lost without Shai Gilgeous-Alexander. The 76ers made the blockbuster trade of this deadline, as they acquired James Harden while shipping Ben Simmons, Seth Curry and Andre Drummond to Brooklyn.
It will be interesting to see how that affects player props going forward on both teams.
Team Totals Props
The Philadelphia 76ers come into this game as 12.5 point favorites, so their team total sits at 109.5. The struggling Oklahoma City Thunder have one of the lowest team totals you will ever see at 96.5.
Neither team puts up many points as the 76ers rank 20th in scoring, while the Thunder rank dead last in the league. Both teams are slow in pace, as the 76ers are 27th and the Thunder rank 17th.
The Thunder have struggled to score recently, but have cleared this low team total in seven of their last eight games, while landing on 96 exactly in the lone game they fell short.
The 76ers rank 28th in opponent fast break points, this is an area a young team like Oklahoma City can exploit. Its a strange place to look, but this Thunder team total is far too low.

Player Props
First things first, James Harden is listed as doubtful and he isn’t listed in props, so we will assume he isn’t playing tonight. Joel Embiid should be able to score at will against this small Thunder lineup.
But it’s tricky cause his point total is through the roof at 33.5 and the blowout potential is high here. Instead we will look towards the Thunder again.
Luguentz Dort has a point prop total of 17.5. He has become the #1 option for the Thunder since Shai Gilgeous-Alexander was injured. Dort has eclipsed 17.5 points in five of his last six games, while landing on 15 in the one game he fell short.

Philadelphia finally found a deal both sides could swallow to rid them of Ben Simmons, who follows a few years behind fellow Sixer No 1 overall pick Markelle Fultz out the doors of the Wells Fargo Center.
We’re guessing the “Process” has its ups and downs. Nonetheless, Philly HC Doc Rivers will have vet PG James Harden running the show for his Sixers (soon, if not in this game).
However, he will no longer have sharp-shooting Seth Curry and C Andre Drummond to spell Joel Embiid. More minutes for Embiid are a good thing, until he breaks down, that is.
This game will be a feeling out situation, and it’s unclear how the acquisition of The Beard will affect budding star PG Tyrese Maxey’s position (especially considering Harden’s player option for next season at $47M).
Those questions will be sorted out in the next week or two. Tonight we prefer to take the generous points with Oklahoma City which is on a 12-3-1 pointspread spree when getting nine or more and 9-2 getting more than 9 on the road since November 1.
Thunder G Lu Dort has scored 22.4 ppg in his last 5 appearances, while rookie G Josh Giddey is at 18 ppg and 48% FGs with 8 rpg and 7 apg in his last 3 games, while PF Darius Bazley and his backup, Aleksej Pokusevski have combined for 34.5 ppg and 10 rpg in their last two contests.
