BKFC Nashville Predictions

Nathan Rivera -1800 vs Tray Martin +900

I don’t see an upset happening here.

Rivera has looked outstanding in BKFC, compiling a 5-0 record while showing excellent boxing  fundamentals. He uses his length well, has a fantastic jab, and does a great job avoiding clean power shots. He’s one of the more polished prospects in the organization.

Martin has a unique stance that doesn’t really fit modern bare-knuckle boxing particularly well. He won his lone BKFC fight, but it came against a low-level opponent and still went the  distance.

There’s just a massive skill gap here. Rivera should control the fight from the opening bell and  eventually find a finish. Rivera by knockout is the most likely outcome.

Prince McLean -130 vs Jeramy Karshner -110

This is one of those fights that could get weird in a hurry.

McLean is 39 years old and fights exactly how you’d expect a brawler to fight. He moves  forward constantly, throws aggressively, and tries to force exchanges from the opening seconds.  Defense is often an afterthought.

Karshner, now 43, is the complete opposite. He has extensive boxing and kickboxing experience,  fights patiently, and likes to take his time finding openings. The question is how well that style  translates to BKFC.

The concern for Karshner is that he can’t afford to spend the first round downloading

information. McLean is going to force action immediately and try to turn this into a war.

I’ll lean Karshner. McLean’s aggressive style creates excitement, but it also creates openings. In bare knuckle, poor defense eventually catches up with you. If Karshner survives the early  pressure, his experience and counter-striking should allow him to land clean shots and potentially score a stoppage.

BKFC Nashville Main Event: Tony Soto -240 vs JC Deleon +165

Deleon only has two BKFC fights, but there are things to like about his game. In his debut, he  showed good movement, legitimate power, and finished the fight in the third round, proving his  cardio can hold up. It wasn’t a lucky knockout either—he was doing damage throughout the fight  and breaking his opponent down.

In his second appearance, he got caught early and stopped by a quality opponent, but I still like what I’ve seen from him overall, especially when working in close and in the clinch.

Soto is the more experienced BKFC fighter and has been in plenty of battles. He’s lost his last  three fights, but all came by decision, including two losses to Ben Bonner, who is a very solid fighter. Soto relies more on speed and volume than raw power and generally wants to control the pace rather than get dragged into a firefight.

That’s where Deleon becomes interesting. If Soto keeps things technical, he probably wins rounds. If the fight turns into exchanges and chaos, Deleon has the advantage. Soto can be sloppy defensively at times, and Deleon has the aggression and power to capitalize. Lean to the underdog.
