Hitter Prop Prediction 1: Corbin Carroll OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-110)
Odds on favorite for National League Rookie of the Year Corbin Carroll is batting .286 on the season with 25 home runs, 73 RBI, 109 runs scored and 50 stolen bases across 599 plate appearances.
Carroll has heated up in September with a .329 batting average, 2 home runs and 8 RBI across 79 plate appearances. He has recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in his last two and four of his last six games.
New York Yankees starting pitcher Luke Weaver has bounced around the league this season, from the Cincinnati Reds to the Seattle Mariners before finally landing in the Bronx.
Weaver is 2-5 with a 6.77 ERA, 1.61 WHIP and 100 strikeouts across 114.1 innings of work. He’s given up a .378 wOBA and .251 ISO to the 250 left-handed hitters he faced this season.
Weaver has also given up a staggering 27 home runs in those minimal innings and that’s not going to play in his first start at Yankee Stadium.
Carroll is perfect against Weaver in a small sample size, going 2-2 with a home run and a walk. He will be playing his first game at Yankee Stadium and the park suits lefties well.
Carroll been on a tear and he’s facing a vulnerable pitcher that he’s had success against in the past, take the over 1.5 HRR with confidence.
Hitter Prop Prediction 2: Cal Raleigh OVER 1.5 Hits + Runs + RBIs (-105)
Seattle Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh is only hitting .235 during the 2023 campaign but he does have 29 home runs and 71 RBI across 526 plate appearances.
Raleigh is a switch-hitter who has thrived against right-handed pitching with a .372 wOBA in his last 75 plate appearances. He has also recorded 2+ Hits + Runs + RBI in his last two and four of his last six games.
Texas Rangers starting pitcher Dane Dunning is 10-6 on the season with a 3.78 ERA, 1.29 WHIP and only 127 strikeouts across 157 innings pitched.
Dunning did toss five scoreless innings of work against the Cleveland Guardians in his last outing, but he struggles against lefties with a .353 wOBA and .164 ISO.
Raleigh has gotten the better of Dunning throughout his career, going 4-11 (.364) with a home run and two doubles.
The Mariners are in a heated battle with the Texas Rangers for potential playoff positioning and big game from their 26-year-old catcher would go a long way.
Raleigh has beat up on opposing righties and this one seems ripe for the picking, give me the over 1.5 HRR tonight in Texas.
