MLB Player Props Today for Thursday: Michael Harris II, Braves OVER 1.5 (-125)
We cashed this play on Michael Harris II a couple of times a few weeks ago and he has cooled off a bit but still covered this HRR line 13 of her last 20 games (65%) while averaging 3 HRR per game.
Harris has been even better on the road where he’s cleared this number in 16 of his last 20 games (80%) while averaging 3.5 HRR per game.
Now Harris gets another crack at Aaron Nola who he has gone 7-30 against with three home runs and two doubles.
Aaron Nola isn’t the same pitcher he used to be, and he’s posted an ugly 6.52 ERA and 1.63 WHIP on the season.
Nola hasn’t faced the Braves yet this season, but he allowed a combined 13 earned runs across 21.2 IP during the 2024 campaign.
The Braves lineup is very familiar with Nola as they have posted a .262 batting average against him with 15 home runs across 294 at-bats. Nola will be backed by a bullpen that ranks 26th with a 5.33 ERA during the last 30 days.
Harris will be guaranteed a full 9 innings of at-bats to eclipse this line in a hitting friendly environment (Citizens Bank Park) with temperatures close to 80 and wind blowing out at 7 mph.
MLB Player Props Today for Thursday: Giancarlo Stanton, Yankees OVER 1.5 (-110)
Giancarlo Stanton has been raking with a .469 batting average and .750 ISO during his last 15 games. During his last 20 games, Stanton has logged 13 extra-base hits and 10 home runs while clearing this HRR in 12 games including each of his last three games.
Stanton hasn’t faced Davis Martin yet but Martin as an ugly 9.8%-barrel rate overall on the season. Martin doesn’t pitch much past the 5th inning and he’s backed by a bullpen that is watered-down after the trade deadline.
Stanton has smashed right-handed pitching with a .315/.375/.685 slash line, .371 ISO on the season and 14 of his 17 home runs have come against righties.
The wind will be blowing out to right-field tonight at 7 mph at Guaranteed Rate Field, so the potential is there for an opposite field home run tonight.
Stanton will be guaranteed a full 9 innings of at-bats to continue his hot streak against a vulnerable right-handed pitcher.
