Best NRFI Bets Today – Free NRFI Picks

NRFI Prediction 1: Washington Nationals at Texas Rangers (-110)

The Cubs have been the worst team in the first inning this season, scoring just .27 runs in the first frame. On the road, this number drops to .22. Today, in Texas, they face Nathan Eovaldi, who has a .200 batting average against the first time through an order this year. No batter at the top of the Nationals’ order has seen Eovaldi in their careers, giving Eovaldi an advantage.

The Rangers have one of the best first-inning offenses in baseball, scoring .74 runs per first frame. Texas was shut out last night, and their offense has not been at the same level it was last year so far. Texas has never seen rookie Mitchell Parker pitch, and he has been solid in his young MLB career. On a short slate, this is one of the best NRFI bets to make.

NRFI Best Bet Today #2: Colorado Rockies at Miami Marlins (-110)

The Rockies went off in the first inning against Sixto Sanchez on Tuesday, heavily inflating both their road and overall first-inning numbers. However, against flamethrower and chase artist Edward Cabreara, we do not expect Colorado to have success in the first inning.

Miami’s first-inning offense is also inflated by some big first innings earlier this season, as they have not scored a run in the first in their last three games. Peter Lambert is going for the Rockies, and he has a .270 xwOBA against the Rockies. Even with the small sample size, he has faced Luis Arraez, Josh Bell, and Bryan De La Cruz who are near the top of Miami’s order, and has had success.
