Last Monday will be one of the most memorable days in Alec Burleson’s career as he blasted three home runs in Yankee Stadium and he hit another home run in yesterday’s 7-4 win against the Rockies as we’ll look for him to hit his home run prop again today.

Burleson and the Cardinals host the Phillies who send righty Andrew Painter to the mound allowing seven home runs in 34 innings pitched on the road this season.

He’s been poor against left handed batters like Burleson allowing nine of his 15 home runs while allowing them to bat .302 to go along with a .495 slugging percentage.

Painter’s recent form hasn’t been the best either allowing six home runs combined across his last five starts (21.2 IP) with Burleson batting .309 and slugging.500 across the last 30 days of play.

Burleson is batting .326 and slugging .566 against right handed pitching this season so let’s take him at +470 to hit his home run prop tonight.

MLB Home Run Prop Best Bet of the Day #2: Brandon Nimmo (TEX) +450

Normally we wouldn’t suggest playing on a lefty vs lefty matchup for a home run prop but Brandon Nimmo has done enough for Texas this season to show he’s more than capable of hitting the long ball against left handed pitching.

We’re going to take Nimmo to hit his home run prop tonight batting .348 and slugging .652 across the last week including two home runs.

Lefty Reid Detmers takes the mound for the Angels and although he’s been decent against left handed hitters so far this season, he has allowed five total home runs across his last three starts (14.1 IP).

All-time Nimmo is 2-5 with a home run off Detmers and on the season Nimmo is batting .345 and slugging .566 against left handed pitching as opposed to batting .248 and slugging .404 against righties.

Nimmo has also been solid on the road slugging eight of his 13 home runs and against the Angels in general this season is slugging .591.

The Rangers outfielder is currently riding a five game hitting streak so let’s take Nimmo at +450 to hit his home run prop tonight. Other Rangers batters to consider for a home run includes Jake Burger (+310) and Wyatt Langford (+350).
