Elly De La Cruz (CIN) +520

After hitting six home runs in May and seven in June, Elly De La Cruz has shockingly hit zero home runs in July so far as the Reds welcome in the Rays for an interleague series.

Tampa Bay sends Zack Littell to the mound who has allowed the most home runs in the MLB this season with 24 and 16 of those coming on the road.

Littell actually hasn’t given up a home run across his last two starts so we think there is some regression to the means tonight.

De La Cruz and Littell have only crossed paths three times with De La Cruz going 0-2 with a walk, but he does have a hit in six of his last seven home games.

He’s hitting .298 with a .494 slugging percentage at home this season and against right handed pitching hitting .300 with a .535 slugging percentage.

De La Cruz hasn’t hit a home run in over a month going up against the pitcher who has given up the most home runs this season.

He’s going to be itching for his chance to get back in the home run column giving himself a shot to surpass his career high of 25 home runs hit last season.

Take De La Cruz to hit a home run at +330 with other Reds hitters who can potentially hit a home run include Austin Hays (+350) and Matt McLain (+360).

MLB HR Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Bryce Harper (PHI) +240

Bryce Harper may be finally hitting his stride this season after injuries derailed him in June. In July so far he’s batting .323 to go along with a .710 slugging percentage as the Phillies play at Yankee Stadium tonight.

New York sends righty Will Warren to the mound tonight and although Harper doesn’t have a hit in three at-bats against Warren all-time, we’re banking on Warren’s struggles against left handed batters this season.

Of the 11 home runs he has allowed this season, nine of them have come against lefties allowing them to bat .282 with a .481 slugging percentage compared to right handed batters hitting .213 with a .309 slugging percentage.

Warren has also been shaky as of late allowing five home runs combined in four July starts netting a 7.23 ERA in those starts against top competition similar to the Phillies.

Harper had a home run in Wednesday’s 9-8 extra innings loss to the Red Sox and he had home runs in back-to-back games a week ago.

Sure, Harper is batting just .241 on the road this season but at Yankee Stadium all-time Harper is 8-26 with two home runs.

Take Harper to hit a home run tonight at +240 odds and if you want a couple other left handed batters on Philadelphia to take advantage of for a home run, consider Kyle Schwarber (+200) and Max Kepler (+420) as well.
