Nolan Gorman (STL) +450
Nolan Gorman leads the Cardinals in home runs, and today, he has a great matchup to hit another one. Gorman is a power threat who does not hit for average. He is batting .219 against right-handed pitching, but six of his seven homers have come off a righty. Gorman is 0-1 in his career off of Dean Kremer with two walks, but considering Kremer is susceptible to the long ball, this is one of the best home run prop bets on the board.
This season, Dean Kremeer has allowed nine home runs, which is tied for the third most in the MLB. The Rays bullpen has allowed 14 home runs this season. Kremer has allowed four of his nine home runs to righties. Gorman has an average exit velocity of 109.1 miles per hour and an average launch angle of 16 degrees.
Shohei Ohtani (LAD) +320
Shohei Ohtani’s numbers this season are absurd, and anytime he is in a matchup that suits him, he is worth backing. Ohtani has not hit a home run in his last two games, so he’s essentially due. During the season, Ohtani has 13 home runs, and eight of the 13 have come at Dodgers Stadium. Three of his 13 home runs have come against left-handed pitching, Lastly, the D-Backs bullpen has allowed 16 home runs this season, making this one of the best home run prop bets on the board.
Joe Mantiply has yet to allow a home run so far this season, but that is just creating more value on Ohtani. Ohtani is 0-1 against Mantiply, so there is not too much to take away from that at-bat. Still, at this price for the best player on the planet, this is easily one of the best home run prop bets of the day.
