Ozzie Albies is 0-2 in his career against Bryce Miller, but we expect Albies to be able to get on the board tonight in Seattle. The Mariners play in a pitcher’s park, but that does not deter us from backing the Braves second basemen. Albies already has two doubles in his return from injury, so he’s already making good contact. He has two home runs already this season, and one of them came off a right-handed pitcher.
Bryce Miller has already allowed five home runs this season, which is tied for the fourth-most in the MLB. Three of the home runs Miller has allowed have come against left-handed batters. Miller has a higher FIP, xFIP, and HR/9 against left-handed batters. Albies has a higher wRC+ as a lefty against righties. This matchup makes him one of the best home run prop bets to make.
Aaron Judge (NYY) +285
The Yankees captain’s start to the season has been slow, but Aaron Judge seems to be coming alive. He hit a home run yesterday, and he hit a home run this past Wednesday, bringing his count to six this season. Five of Judge’s home runs so far have come off of right-handed pitching.
Grayson Rodriguez has allowed four home runs this season, three of them to righties. Rodriguez has faced Judge three times and walked him twice. It’s supposed to be a gorgeous night in Baltimore, so the ball should be flying. Rodriguez has worse splits against righties, and given the form Judge is in now, this is one of the best home run prop bets to make tonight.
