Michigan Football Bottom Line:

I love the stability and talent on the team but find the road schedule tricky.  I think they lose (at least?) once at Minnesota/Penn State/Maryland, and then have to be extra careful hosting Ohio State. 

They are good enough to run the table, but for me, making the playoffs (and then winning once there) is the goal they need to shoot for.

While I have concerns as noted above, there will be times Michigan absolutely destroys some opponents. 

I’ll keep in mind their recent 10-5 ATS record as a rush pick.  Balanced action is the key as I try to fix my recent Michigan spread record.

Michigan Football Predictions: AREAS TO WATCH

Not much has changed offensively.  Unless RB Corum is slow to recover from a late season injury, I have no watch areas for this side of the ball.  The DL might take a small step back but it shouldn’t be pronounced.  Their top five tacklers return.  They do lose a stout PK, but their new guy was 20-22 at Louisville.  Sorry, no keys from me here.

Michigan 2023 Predictions, Michigan Schedule:

Michigan has two sets of back-to-back road games.  The first stretch is at Nebraska and at Minnesota. 

Nebraska has played Michigan tough at their place but we’ll all have to pre-check the coaching and scheme changes.  Minnesota will make this game the focal point of their season, and the schedule supports that. 

We know games at Michigan State can get wild.  How’s Mel Tucker doing this year?  Having a week off after that game is ideal.  The other late road stretch is at Penn St and at Maryland.  I expect a very tough game at Penn St, and given that Michigan’s finale is hosting bitter rival Ohio St, they better focus on Maryland, as the home squad has plenty of talent on their roster. 

Speaking of Ohio St, that should be fun as well.
