- Florida State is 2-5 against the spread in the Seminoles’ last seven road games.
- The under is 5-1 in Boston College’s last six games.
I have no explanation for the Florida State money that has shown for this game, and I sure don’t agree with it. BC has forward momentum off two very solid wins and an already strong defense will be getting at least two injured players back for this game, perhaps as many as four. BC has allowed the fewest pass completions in the country this season! Florida State is off a thrilling rivalry win over Miami. They put together a very long drive and score to pull out the win with about half a minute left. They have another rivalry game at Florida next week, so this is a clear sandwich spot and I have to give the Eagles an incentive edge based on the scheduling. At this number, Boston College seems worth a wager.

Boston College vs Florida State Analysis from The GoldSheet
The Seminoles picked up a huge fourth-down conversion via the arm of Jordan Travis, who fired in a dime to help extend a drive that produced a last-minute touchdown in a 31-28 upset of Miami that kept dreams of a .500 season and a bowl berth alive. FSU still has to pull off road wins in Boston and Gainesville to make it happen and will likely ultimately end up home for the postseason due to an unforgivable loss to Jacksonville State, but it did close out the home portion of its schedule in style, defeating a rival and buying beleaguered head coach Mike Norvell one more season.
Boston College rode the legs of QB Phil Jurkovec to a 41-30 win at Georgia Tech and is now bowl eligible at 6-4. The Eagles skipped out on bowl play last season due to COVID-19 but can secure a fifth winning season in six years with a win over either FSU or Wake Forest. Boston College has dropped nine of the last ten meetings against the ‘Noles but come off their highest-scoring game since late September thanks to their starting quarterback’s return helping take the offense to another level that the team’s backups simply couldn’t reach. Look for Jurkovec’s ability to hook up with Zay Flowers to make the difference on what’s expected to be a windy day in Chestnut Hill.
