Panthers vs Packers Player Prop #1: Bryce Young Carolina Panthers OVER 252.5 Passing Yards (-112)

Bryce Young is coming off his worst outing of the season where he threw for only 163 yards in a game that got out of hand earlier due to four turnovers and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers won 43-13.

However, Young had thrown for 281+ passing yards in each of the first five games of the season and the Panthers still own the #2 passing offense in the NFL while averaging 276 yards per game.

The Green Bay Packers rank 9th in passing yards allowed but they haven’t faced an impressive list of quarterbacks that includes Geno Smith, Jalon Daniels, Tyson Bagent/Case Keenum and game where Carson Wentz took over for Kyler Murray early in the 1st half.

The Panthers are missing right tackle Taylor Moton, but Young has been playing behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL all season long.

Green Bay is favored by -.3.5 in a game with a total that has moved up to 47 and that sets up a negative game script as it’s tough to envision Carolina controlling the clock after allowing 258 rushing yards last week against the Buccaneers.

Panthers vs Packers Player Prop #2: Chuba Hubbard Carolina Panthers OVER 15.5 Receiving Yards (-111)

Chuba Hubbard has cleared this line in 3 of his first 6 games of the season while recording 3, 4 and 4 receptions for 38, 28 and 27 receiving yards.

What’s interesting about those games is that they are the only three that the Carolina Panthers won or lost by less than 6 points and tonight the Green Bay Packers are -3.5-point home favorites.

The Packers defense does rank above average in receiving yards allowed to opposing running backs, but they haven’t exactly faced the who’s who of quarterbacks.

We have still seen several running backs eclipse this line against Green Bay including Jahmyr Gibbs (27), D’Andre Swift (30), Roschon Johnson (34), Kenneth Gainwell (22), Bijan Robinson (19) and Breece Hall (63).

Green Bay play zone coverage at a top 10 rate in the league so that naturally funnels passes underneath. Hubbard is really the only Panthers running back that runs routes and he’s played 85%+ of the snaps in three straight games.
