MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #1: Kyle Tucker (LAD) +420

There’s no doubt that this is statistically Kyle Tucker’s worst MLB season in which he’s been healthy in his career, but as of late he’s been starting to show signs of consistency as we’ll look for him to cash his home run props tonight.

Tucker only has 14 home runs this season which will be his fewest since he had just nine in 58 games in 2020. Even in 2024 when he played in only 78 games he still had 23 home runs for the Astros.

Two of Tucker’s home runs have come across the last three games he’s played in while slugging .556 for September. His best slugging percentage for a month this season was in May slugging just .418 with the Dodgers continuing their road trip in Cincinnati taking on the Reds.

Tucker has been a much better batter on the road this season hitting .268 while slugging .459 compared to home games hitting just .187 and slugging .285. Ten of his 14 home runs have come on the road and 11 of 14 against right handed pitchers.

Cincinnati sends righty Rhett Lowder to the mound who was dismal in his last start which came against these Dodgers going 3.1 innings while allowing seven earned runs including a home run.

Tucker is 2-2 with a double all-time against Lowder with the Reds starter allowing 12 of his 17 home runs to left handed batters on the season.

Although Tucker has struggled for much of the season, he’s been putting it together as of late so let’s take his home run props at +420 odds tonight. Other Dodgers to consider for home run props includes Max Muncy (+340) and Will Smith (+350).

MLB Home Run Props Best Bet of the Day #2: Ronald Acuna Jr. (ATL) +390

Braves outfielder Ronald Acuna Jr. looks to continue his impressive September already batting .340 and slugging .642 for the month including four home runs.

We’ll take him to hit his home run props tonight as the Braves look to bounce back at Wrigley Field after their 7-3 loss last night. Veteran Kevin Gausman takes the mound for Chicago tonight in mediocre form after allowing three home runs in just four innings at Milwaukee his last time out.

He has allowed six home runs across his last three starts (16 IP) in total with 14 of his total 24 home runs coming against right handed batters.

Also, it’s worth noting that 14 of his 24 home runs have come during home starts and 12 of Acuna Jr.’s 17 home runs have come against right handed pitching while batting .268 against them compared to batting just .228 against left handed pitchers.

Acuna Jr. should be taking his spot at the top of the order tonight ensuring at least five at bats with the Cubs bullpen tied for the third most home runs allowed this season of any bullpen unit in the MLB.
