NBA Player Props Best Bet #1: Jalen Johnson (ATL) Over 31.5 Points + Rebounds (-120)

Three games remain for the Hawks this regular season and it’s in their best interest to win as many as possible if they want to stay out of the Eastern Conference play-in.

They sit as the 5th seed in the East as of tonight playing on the road at Cleveland. We’ll take star power forward Jalen Johnson over 31.5 points + rebounds averaging 38.5 points + rebounds in their two head-to-head matchups this season.

Johnson has averaged 32.2 points + rebounds per game over his last seven going against some formidable opponents including Boston twice, Detroit, Orlando and New York.

On the season the Cavaliers have given up the fifth most points per game to power forwards with Johnson notching 41 minutes in the team’s 108-105 loss to the Knicks on Monday.

Johnson averages 37.3 points + rebounds per 40 minutes this season as we could see him eclipse the 40 minute mark once again tonight considering the magnitude of these final regular season games.

The Hawks and Cavaliers both sit top 11 in pace over their last five games so we should see an opportunity for additional scoring and rebounding for Johnson as well.

Take Johnson to have a major impact on tonight’s important game going over 31.5 points + rebounds on Wednesday.

NBA Player Props Best Bet #2: Donovan Clingan (POR) Over 23.5 Points + Rebounds (-118)

The Trail Blazers still have a shot to play themselves into the 7 vs 8 matchup in the Western Conference Play-In as they head to San Antonio to take on the Spurs.

San Antonio will be playing shorthanded tonight missing both Victor Wembanyama and Stephon Castle as we’ll look for the Portland big man to go over 23.5 points + rebounds.

We did see Clingan production dip a bit at the end of March but he still averaged 25.2 points + rebounds for the month and is coming off a 30 points + rebounds effort in a 137-132 overtime loss at Denver last time out on Monday.

Sure, the Spurs allow the seventh fewest points in the paint per game, but without Wembanyama’s rim protection Clingan should be able to generate additional easy buckets at the rim.

In two head-to-head meetings against San Antonio this season Clingan has averaged 28 points + rebounds with Wembanyama inactive for both those matchups as well.

In an important game for Western Conference seeding, let’s look for Portland to take advantage of San Antonio’s absences with Clingan going over 23.5 points + rebounds tonight.
