Tottenham vs Manchester United | November 8 | 7:30 AM ET
Tottenham +180 | Manchester United +140 | Draw +250
Manchester United have been one of the hottest teams in the league heading into matchday 11, with only three teams accumulating a higher PPG tally than United have across their last five starts, along with the Red Devils ranking #1 in offensive scoring since October 1st also.
Tottenham, meanwhile, have averaged just 1.40 PPG across that same timeframe, and have struggled defensively also, ranking bottom-half in the league in defensive xGA since the start of October.
Spurs rank 5th from bottom in opponents shots faced at home this year, with that home figure being significantly worse than their road average, almost 2 shots per game worse in fact.
Tottenham are coming off back-to-back defeats against a United team arguably hitting their peak right now.
Spurs manager Thomas Frank seems to be having trouble controlling the dressing room currently after getting snubbed by some of his players last weekend, and this is the wrong time to be facing a team on the ascendancy.
Take United to cover on the road on Saturday down in London.
Premier League Predictions: Manchester United +0 [PK] (-129)
Brentford vs Newcastle | November 9 | 9:00 AM ET
Brentford +200 | Newcastle +125 | Draw +240
Two teams who will be looking to rebound off respective Premier League defeats last weekend meet up on Sunday down in the English capital.
Newcastle got surprisingly routed 3-1 by West Ham last weekend in what turned out to be a comedy of errors matchup for the Magpies, with Sven Botman uncharacteristically rolling it into his own net just before half-time.
That was an extremely disappointing display from the men from the north-east as they’d previously been on a three-game winning streak immediately prior to that game.
Brentford, meanwhile, lost 2-0 to Crystal Palace last weekend in yet another match featuring own goals, and just like Newcastle, that defeat halted a three-game winning run for the Bees.
Newcastle host Athletic Bilbao at home on Wednesday night in the Champions League, an important game for both teams considering Newcastle will be looking to maintain their placement near the top of the UCL table, while Bilbao will look to put together back-to-back wins for the first-time all season after opening up their European campaign 0-2.
That European focus for Newcastle should suit Brentford here, and we like them to cover the handicap at home on Sunday as a result.
Premier League Predictions: Brentford +0.25 (-127)
Nottingham Forest vs Leeds | November 9 | 9:00 AM ET
Nottingham Forest +120 | Leeds +230 | Draw +230
Two of the three lowest scoring teams in the entire league matchup here on Sunday over in the East Midlands as 16th placed Leeds take on 19th placed Nottingham Forest in what could well be a potential foreshadowing to a major relegation battle taking place during the second-half of the season.
Nottingham Forest have been in a major downward spiral since the highs of last season, with new manager Sean Dyche, their third manager of the season so far, having his work cut out for him at Forest as the Tricky Trees have won just one of their last 13 games overall.
Leeds, to be fair, haven’t been doing a whole lot better, winning just one of their last five games overall, that coming against a massively struggling West Ham side at home, with the Whites sitting as the team owning the 5th coldest form currently based off last five-game sample size. However, that’s still not as bad as Nottingham Forest, who rank last in that same category across their last five matchups.
Where that coldness has been predominantly felt for both sides has been in defense, with Nottingham Forest and Leeds allowing a combined 17 goals since the start of October, two of the three-worst defensive records in the league across that timespan.
Offensively however, there has at least been a little more room for optimism, with Nottingham Forest generating twice the amount of xG than their actual goal tally reads since October 1st, and Leeds ranking top-half in the league in offensive xG across that same timeframe, with their numbers in particular sitting as the biggest discrepancy in the league based on xG to GPG ratio.
That offensive pressure and chance creation might finally pay some dividends here for both teams, especially against two defenses that have struggled to stop opponents this season.
Premier League Prediction: Over 2.25 (-126)
