Luton vs West Ham | Friday September 1 | 3:00pm ET

Luton +350 | West Ham -130 | Draw +275

West Ham vs Luton Premier League Predictions

In what will no doubt be a raucous atmosphere at Kenilworth Road on Friday night, Luton will host their first-ever Premier League home game this weekend with the Hatters hoping they can turn this venue into something of a fortress after two heavy road defeats to open up the new season.

Facing them here is a West Ham side who have been enjoying their start to the new Premier League season, racking up an undefeated start to the year so far with two wins from their opening three games.

Luton lost heavily by three goals apiece to both Chelsea and Brighton to start the season, two teams whom West Ham have already beaten this year, but that return home for Luton, especially in their very first Premier League game ever, could boost Luton’s chances significantly here.

The Hatters are undefeated in nine straight games in this venue, conceding in just four of those nine games as well, so they should provide a stern test for West Ham on Friday night.

That said, the Hammers have looked dangerous in front of goals so far this season, netting seven times across their opening three games, but have conceded in each of those starts as well.

Both teams should have numerous chances to score here on Friday and we’re expecting both of them to find the back of the net in this one as a result.

Prediction: Both Teams to Score – Yes (-125)

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest | Saturday September 2 | 10:00am ET

Chelsea -260 | Nottingham Forest +695 | Draw +400

Chelsea vs Nottingham Forest Premier League Prediction

Chelsea finally seem to have found their groove after netting multiple times against Luton last week.

While the level of opposition in that game could cause some to still distrust Chelsea’s newfound fortunes, there’s no denying that across all of their three games this season, despite the mixed results, Chelsea do look like a reinvigorated outfit, especially when compared with the team who finished out last season.

The Blues will be looking to secure back-to-back home wins for the first time since October 2022, a pretty unbelievable record for a team that has spent so much money on bringing in new talent across the last three transfer windows.

Nottingham Forest meanwhile will be licking their wounds after Manchester United were able to come back from 2-0 down last week to eventually win 3-2 in a really topsy-turvy game over at Old Trafford.

Steve Cooper praised his players’ efforts after the game but was nonetheless extremely disappointed with the result, a result that was heaped on further by Burnley in midweek as they put Nottingham Forest out of the EFL Cup through a late 90th-minute winner at the City Ground.

It’ll be interesting to see whether or not Forest can pick themselves up for yet another road game against a traditional “Big Six” team this weekend.

Chelsea got the win against Wimbledon on Wednesday themselves in cup action with what was largely a back-up squad, so they’ll no doubt be strong again here at home on Saturday in terms of their starting lineup.

Take Chelsea to grab only their second consecutive home win in almost a year this weekend as they get the home win and cover against Nottingham Forest at Stamford Bridge.

Prediction: Chelsea -1.25 (-120)

Arsenal vs Manchester United | Sunday September 3 | 11:30am ET

Arsenal -125 | Manchester United +315 | Draw +300

Arsenal vs Manchester United Premier League Prediction

One of the biggest rivalries in the EPL over the last quarter decade or so kicks off in a standalone spot on Sunday as Manchester United travel down to the English capital to take on last season’s runners-up Arsenal in what is a really important game on the card this weekend.

Manchester United have looked really sub-par to start the year, and can arguably count themselves extremely fortunate to have six points after three games as they easily could have come unstuck against both Wolves and Nottingham Forest, two teams who should have won those respective matches against United.

Arsenal meanwhile, while not looking quite as bad as United overall, have under-performed themselves this season, with slender wins against both Nottingham Forest and Crystal Palace, along with giving up two goals against Fulham last time out, not exactly putting them on the same gradient as their electric form to start last year.

This is a fixture that has tended to flip-flop across recent seasons, with both teams winning two of their last four head-to-heads overall, excluding friendlies, since December 2021.

Erik Ten Hag knows he needs a response from these Manchester United players on Sunday owing to how poor they’ve looked to start the season, and he may well get one considering the euphoria United experienced last weekend in coming back from that shock early 2-0 deficit against Forest, the quickest 2-0 deficit in Manchester United’s Premier League history.

That could spur them on here against an Arsenal team who, while playing a little better overall, have looked fairly pedestrian for the most part this season and we believe this line is simply too short to back the home side in this one.

Prediction: Manchester United +0.75 (-120)
