Expert NBA Player Props for Tuesday: Anthony Edwards, Timberwolves OVER 11.5 Rebounds + Assists (-110)

Anthony Edwards crushed this line in each of his last three head-to-head games against the Oklahoma City Thunder this season with 21, 17 and 14 Rebounds + Assists for an average of 17.3 RA per game.

Edwards saw amazing volume in those three games with an average of 14.6 rebound chances and 13.7 potential assists per game.

He didn’t eclipse 38 minutes in any of those three games, but Edwards has averaged 39.9 minutes per game in the postseason and with this being the Western Conference Finals we should see a tight rotation that leads to 40+ minutes per game.

Edwards has also covered this line in 7 of his 10 playoff games with an average of 13.9 RA on 11.9 rebound chances and 9.5 potential assists per game.

The Thunder defense focuses on shutting down the oppositions #1 option and Ant has averaged only 21.8 points on 16.8 field goal attempts in his last 16 games against Oklahoma City.

Look for Edwards to continue to facilitate and fight on the glass in pursuit of his first NBA Finals appearance.

Expert NBA Player Props for Tuesday: Lu Dort, Thunder OVER 7.5 Points (-130)

Lu Dort’s minutes dipped in the last series against the Denver Nuggets as Alex Caruso and Carson Wallace both provided excellent defensive minutes in guarding Jamal Murray.

However, Dort is the only Thunder defender with the physical ability to handle Anthony Edwards, and he held Ant to only 6-16 from the field (4 games) with only four trips to charity stripe across 30 minutes of head-to-head play.

Despite his erratic minutes, Dort has thrived at home during this playoff run with 8+ points in 5/6 games and his only miss was a Game 7 blowout victory over the Nuggets.

Dort cleared this line in 2 of 4 head-to-head games against Minnesota during the regular season with 14, 14, 5 and 6 points but he saw 10+ field goal attempts in 3 of those 4 games and 44% of those attempts were considered to be “wide open” looks.

We should expect the Timberwolves to concede shots to Dort as they focus on shutting down SGA and company.
