Cambuur have already been promoted to the top tier league no matter what happens, and have been promoted for quite a while, that's why we've see a dip in form lately. Win-less in L/4 (D2 L2) and winning just 1 of L/6 (W1 D2 L3). This is still a good team, but they've let loose lately. This is the final match of the season and they might want to thank their supporters with a win, but the visitors are actually VERY much interested in a win (or even a draw).

Vitesse have done the unthinkable, as they started the season with a 12-point deduction, but they managed to pull themselves together in the final period (there are 4 periods in this league) and can now promote to the top league with a win, as long as either of the two teams above them drop points. They can also do so with a Draw, also with a combination of results.

This is a team that's unbeaten in L/6 (W4 D2 L0) and have lost just 1 of L/9 (W6 D2 L1), they are highly motivated for a win (or even a draw). They have lost each of L/4 to Cambuur, but prior to that they had 7 consecutive wins.

This is a straight up gamble on a team that is in good form and will fight tooth an nail for a potential promotion back to the top tier. Yes, they do have one of the best teams in the league against them (and on the road) but Cambuur have been very relaxed as of late and, at least pre-game, a bet on Vitesse makes sense. After all, around 20 years of data in this league suggest that teams that have comfortably won promotion stumble in the final match day more often than not.
