Reigning Copa Sudamericana champions Lanus haven't conceded a single goal in L/8 home matches in all competitions and kept clean sheets in ALL 4 international matches this season. In fact, dating back to last season, Lanus have kept 8 consecutive clean sheets in Copa Linertadores and Copa Sudamericana matches, and 10 in L/11. And they've faced some really strong teams in that span.

Cienciano scored just 1 goal in their 3 away matches in the Copa Sudamericana and have now scored just 2 goals in L/5 away matches, one of them was a penalty kick (their only shot on target) vs Atletico MG last season and the most recent in a 1-1 against Juventud, who are just not that great of a defense.

Coach Pellegrino is doing a fine job defensively for Lanus, especially at home where they've kept 25 clean sheets in 40 matches since he took over. His body of work suggests that his teams are always extremely hard to beat at home, and keep clean sheets more often than not.

Lanus are way worse on the road, and this is the first leg of the Round of 32, so a win and/or a clean sheet could go a long way here, as they are in for an extremely rough ride in the second leg in the altitude of Cusco (11,152 ft). Lanus have already played two away matches in similar altitude this season, losing badly in both, a 2-0 vs LDU Quito and a 4-0 vs Always Ready in Bolivia.

By the same token, Cienciano will most likely deploy a low block here in order to keep the score at a minimum, and then have valid chances for the second leg at home.

Pavlos betting on European sports when he was in High School, back when most people his age didn't even know how to bet. After acquiring a Bachelor's Degree in International Economic Relationships and development from the Democritus University in Greece, Pavlos took a different path.

Things really took off for him in 2014 when he officially started writing predictions for US-based sites. Things picked up pretty quickly, and he has produced thousands upon thousands of match previous and predictions. He tends to venture off the beaten path, looking for hidden gems in a myriad of games you can bet on.

Single and double bets aside, Pavlos likes to play the odds as well. While some days there are safe single bets, there are other days that provide opportunities for different bets.
