Another muscle-memory related prop that I love, and goalkeepers have been used to waste time since the dawn of time. The chances of this happening in Match Day 1 are significantly lower, but they get higher as the tournament progresses, mainly in Match Day 3 and the knockouts, where if a team is holding a qualifying result, the timewasting will become even more possible. This is also a new rule from FIFA, and at +1000 it’s also worth a shot and is actually the most possible to happen.

THE PLAY: Vladimir Coufal Most Assists (+50100)

PLAYER WITH MOST ASSISTS

Vladimir Coufal (+50000 B365) and this is Each/Way 1-2-3-4, meaning that half the stake is on “To Win” and the other half is on “To Finish in the Top 4”, which I find quite possible for a wing back that had a very strong season with assists in Hoffenheim’s similar formation, and in a group where the Czech Republic’s height might just be too much to handle.

Take 0.5% on Vladimir Coufal Most Assists Each Way 1-2-3-4 (+50100 at B365), line good to +40000

NOTE: If your book offers any kind of number for Coufal to have the most assists, take that, but make sure the Dead-Heat Rule is in effect, otherwise just skip it entirely.

P.S.: This will be a grading nightmare, but we'll cross that bridge when (or if) we get to it. It's either going to be a "good problem", meaning that we will win the bet, or part of it, or it will be a straight-forward loss. Good luck!

THE PLAY: Malik Tillman USA Top Goalscorer (+1200)

TEAM USA TOP GOALSCORER

Malick Tillman (+1200 DraftKings)

Tillman is obviously a Dark Horse and the odds reflect that, but on the other hand he was USA's Top Goalscorer in last year's Gold Cup with 3 goals, and even though he didn't have a very strong first season with Leverkusen, he did pretty well in his last season with PSV and he is a player with very good right foot and he usually takes shots from range.

Other players don't really appeal to me, especially the two biggest favourites: Pulisic had a very mediocre season with AC Milan and might be heavily guarded, Balogun had a solid season with Monaco but I'm not interested in his +320.

Best VALUE bets in my opinion are Tillman (+1200), McKennie (+1400) and maybe Pepi (+900) or Haji Wright (+600).

Looking at their group opponents and their recent results, all 3 teams tend to concede more goals to opposing wingers and midfielders.

I'm gonna go with Tillman at +1200, and might add one more unit on either McKennie or Wright.
