CBB | (809) Oregon at (810) Arizona State | 10:00pm EST - Feb 4/2023 |
The PLAY: Oregon 0.0 (-110)
Both of these teams are 7-5 in Pac-12 play, sitting just outside the top four in the league standings. The Ducks are seeking a split of action in the Centennial state after falling in Tucson 91-76 on Thursday night after Azuolas Tubelis torched them for 40 points. ASU snapped a four-game losing streak with an 11-point win over Oregon State and looking for a sweep of both Oregon schools for the season since they won in Eugene and Corvallis in January. Desmond Cambridge, Jr. scored a team-high 21 points in the 90-73 win over Oregon on Jan. 12 and led the Sun Devils against Oregon State, so Dana Altman will be tasked with keeping him from finding a rhythm after failing to disrupt Tubelis despite the presence N'Faly Dante and the other Ducks' bigs. Look for a better defensive effort from Oregon to be the difference in this one as the Quack Attack manages to steal one in Tempe in this pick'em. Ride Oregon.

NBA | NBA SCORING RECORD PROP | 4:30pm EST - Feb 7/2023 |
The PLAY: LeBron James to break NBA scoring record via free throw (+370)
LeBron James is within reach of the scoring record, so books are putting out numbers on how he'll shatter Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's record. Given that the 2-point bucket looks to juiced (-160 range), we'll take this regal option at +370. Considering the referees association essentially had to get on its knees to beg the King's forgiveness following an egregious missed call in L.A.'s Jan. 28 loss in Boston after Eric Lewis missed a clear foul on Jayson Tatum, in the final second of regulation, James will get the benefit of the whistle after a month-plus of missed calls. James is shooting 77 percent from the stripe this season, his highest clip since 2011-12 that's very close to the best percentage of his career (78%, 2008-09). Paying out nearly 4-to-1, riding hitting a free throw as the way LeBron James becomes the NBA's all-time scoring leader is a strong wager.

After spending over a decade at VegasInsider.com, Tony Mejia, who has handicapped under the pseudonym Antony Dinero, will continue his career in sports and sports gambling at WagerTalk. A leading handicapper in the industry, Mejia has handicapped most major sports and events and got his start by opening his career as a writer at SportsLine.com, which was then bought by CBS. Mejia handicapped under a pseudonym due to compliance issues but also created Mejia’s Selections, a popular feature projecting scores for most major sports. He landed the national NBA beat for CBS SportsLine from 2005-09, so Mejia took a break from handicapping to handle stories and analysis with more of an emphasis on writing. He moved on to Pro Basketball News as a writer/publisher before taking on more of a full-time role at VegasInsider, providing written analysis and winning multiple titles over the course of the season in NFL, NBA, college football, college basketball, and soccer. The “Antony Dinero” brand is owned and trademarked by Mejia after becoming a consistent winner and top-seller. Mejia writes a weekly column at Gaming Today, a staple in Las Vegas sports betting consulting for decades. He utilizes a combination of making his own lines to open the week, seeking discrepancies, tracking weather, injuries, and line movements to try and secure every advantage before getting in on a ticket. He believes watching is the key to it all, so odds are he’s watching a sport if it’s on regardless of whether it’s the Super Bowl or a mid-week college hoops matchup between Quinnipiac and Iona. Mejia was born in Queens, New York, and roots only for the Yankees, Colombia’s soccer team, and the UCF Knights since he attended the University of Central Florida in Orlando. They won a national championship once, whether you believe it or not. Ride Mejia to make some dinero because he’s always hustling to seek out an edge.
