THE PLAY: Ismail Naurdiev -132
I’ve made a lot of money fading Vettori, and I’ll do it again here. He’s lost four straight UFC fights and just doesn’t have much upside left. He can’t consistently wrestle, doesn’t have big striking power, and now the volume isn’t there either. Even when he gets into the clinch, he struggles to generate meaningful offense or score points with the judges. Naurdiev has the better striking, can compete on the ground if the fight gets there, and is younger and more athletic. Naurdiev should outwork Vettori everywhere and win by decision.
