THE PLAY: Kansas State -3.0 (-110)

Iowa State and Kansas State both enter the season ranked as they play in the annual game in Dublin Ireland. For as great a job a Matt Campbell has done in Ames, he had never had a double digit win season until last year when Iowa State won 11 games. There was a lot of turnover on offense, but they do return QB Rocco Becht and both of their two main running backs. But the Cyclones couldn’t stop the run last year and finished 82nd in the nation in YPP allowed (5.8) - that’s bad news against Kansas State.

Chris Klieman is one of the best coaches in the nation, evidenced by the fact that he’s won at least 9 games in each of the past 3 seasons. KSU gets QB Avery Johnson back, who is a huge threat with his legs and led an offense that averaged 6.4 YPP a year ago. Both the offensive and defensive lines are a strength as KSU gave up just 3.8 yards per rush last year. Give me Kansas State.
