THE PLAY: Total Over 55.5 (-110)

Arizona hosts Hawaii in Week 1 in a late game on Saturday night. The return of QB Noah Fifita in year two under head coach Brent Brennan, with a new OC this offense could be high flying. Seth Doege will call the plays on offense, and the former Texas Tech QB is a disciple of the legendary Mike Leach. The last meeting was a 45-38 shootout with Hawaii winning at home, and the previous meeting was a 47-28 home win for Arizona. The total of 55.5 looks a little low to me.

THE PLAY: East Carolina Total Over 24.5 (-114)

The Pirates beat the Wolfpack in their bowl game last year, and they have actually covered in five of the last seven in this rivalry. This is a revenge game for NC State, and their offense should be in good shape with QB CJ Bailey returning. A new OC is expected to go up tempo on offense, and we see this game is projected to be a real shootout. I think both these teams score their fair share, but I like the Pirates to go over their team total if this one gets pointsy…

THE PLAY: Total Under 45.5 (-110)
This is a free play on Under 45.5.
The Gophers defense was lights out last year, and even though DC Corey Hetherman has moved on to Miami, they promoted within and shouldn't miss a beat. In two non-conference games last season against teams outside the Power 4, they allowed a combined zero points. The offense will likely be a bit more conservative with a freshman replacing Max Brosmer, and they should lean on their talented RBs. A heavy dose of the running game should burn up the clock, and I think this total is on the wrong side of 45.

Jesse Schule

Consultant Bio
Who is Jesse Schule?
He's no soothsayer, and he doesn't have a crystal ball, but Jesse Schule can indeed predict the future. As a professional handicapper, it is part of his job description. His clients have accused him of secretly possessing Marty McFly's Sports Almanac, but he tells us the secret to his success is partly thanks to his fascination with history. The idea that you can predict the future by studying the past is nothing new. Historians have been doing it for years.
Jesse made headlines in 2019 when he not only predicted that the Toronto Raptors would beat the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals but also cashed in prop bets on the Finals MVP and the number of games it would take for Toronto to win the series. Keep in mind that the Warriors were an overwhelming favorite, and the Washington Post actually wrote an article titled: NBA Finals Experts picks: Basically, no one thinks the Raptors can beat the Warriors.
Some might call it luck, especially given the injuries to Kevin Durant and Klay Thompson. As luck would have it, though, just two years earlier, Jesse had won in a similar fashion by exploiting the player prop markets in the 2017 NBA Finals. Jesse told his clients before the series started that he thought there was a good chance the series would be over in 4-5 games, and that presented excellent value in shorting the player performance totals for key players, especially on the losing team. He ended up making six futures bets on the series, winning all six of those bets.
His success is by no means limited to the NBA, and his accolades include several #1 finishes over the years. From 06/01/2021 to 06/01/2024 Jesse was the overall money leader at Sportsmemo.com, posting an impressive record of (1783-1356-64) +198.62 units. He finished 2022 as the #1 NFL handicapper at Sportsmemo; he was also #1 with All Football and All Soccer for the calendar year.
