Hump day has us on a barking dog in Fenway Wednesday night. The Royals starter Michael Wacha has been lights out racking up four straight starts letting up just 1 run and no more than 3 hits in each game. Boston is going with Dusty May for the first time in a Red Sox uniform after he was shipped out of LA at the trade deadline. The righty has near a 5 ERA and FIP on the season and the thought process is a new team will resurrect his numbers. Tricky handicap against a Royals lineup that has been seeing the ball better recently.
The Royals did drop the first two of the series, including last night's matchup against ace Garrett Crochet. Tonight, likely has a different outcome in the step down in class to Dusty May. Boston is playing good ball and tough to go against, which is what made this one miss the client card, but on “Get Away Day” for both teams, I project the Royals to salvage the series behind Wacha playing stopper. The dog is barking in Boston. Bet Royals at the nice plus price.
